  1. Looks like the LA, TOR, ATL, St Louis have a corner on the market as of today.

  2. No worries. The Islanders will suck all on their own, then trade that #1 overall pick to Toronto for Bryan McCabe and the Leafs' 1st round pick in 2112.

  3. No team would purposely loose and even if they did it wouldn't guarantee them the pick because of the lottery.  I'd say Edmonton, Toronto, LA, Atlanta, and Florida probably have the best chances at him

  4. Nothing is garunteed but seriously, Kovalchuck cant win by himself, he couldnt even win with hossa

  5. Atlanta, LA, the Leafs and the Isles are in hot contention for that pick this year...

  6. All the other teams mentioned seem to think they have a shot, but we (the Leafs) have Brian McCabe on our side.

    HA !!!!

  7. My guess is he'll be in L.A. The Kings are having trouble just getting people to sign with them. They lack a legit starting goalie(God, I hope they take Khabibulin off Chicagos' hands), and have traded away some good vets. It's basically Kopitar vs. the NHL. Plus, I hear Tavares is a hotdog and a cocky prick so he'll fit right in.

  8. If Ottawa has a season like they finished last season...they are the front runners!!

  9. The leafs are a good bet because they stink and they need a good local boy to give the fans some real hope. Unfortunately, Tavares may be too slow to really be the franchise savior the leafs really need.

  10. The Kings, I don't think they will "sacrifice" so to speak ...I think they will just get it.

  11. probably the kings or thrashers cuz they will finish last in there conferences.

  12. leafs, Atlanta and LA STL

  13. it would be sweet if atlanta got a skilled center to play with kolvokych
