  1. What about John Toratella? Wouldn't he make a good choice for San Jose. He has a Stanley Cup under his belt! I think he would be good at giving the Sharks some very needed Chemistry.

  2. I'll answer question #2, Doug Wilson and Campbell's agent have already thrown numbers around believed to be in the $6.5=$7MM range.  Wilson wants Campbell to stay, and Campbell says he wants to stay.

Wilson says he has three people in mind, Quenneville is apparently the top of the list.  (He's won a President's Trophy)

  3. I still hold out hope that it could be Pat Burns, but thats just wishful thinking.

Q, Torts, and maybe Todd McLellan?

As for Brian Campbell, i heard that negotiations between Doug Wilson and Larry Kelly, Campbell's agent went extremely well.  They pretty much locked up Campbell to be a SJ Shark so he won't be going anywhere.

  4. The Sharks should hire Pat Burns to be head coach.  Burns would clamp down on the players and squeeze the best out of them.  There is an inherent risk when hiring him because you never know when his cancer might return, but the rewards heavily outweigh the risk.

Campbell is gone.  The Sharks won't be able dish out enough money to keep him and he's not that loyal to San Jose considering he wasn't even there a full season.

  5. theyll get mcclellan. they should lock Campbell up. one of the best offensive D-men in the league. im gonna hate to see Mac go though. we like him over here in Detroit.

  6. njdss, you have no idea what you are talking about. Every interview he has ever been in since arriving in San Jose has been nothing but positive about the area. Plus he has said he loves the intensity of the fans and he has a good friend of his, you might know him, Joe Thornton on the team. And with his contract, the Sharks have plenty of money to sign him, they had one of the 5 lowest payrolls in the league last year.

They should promote Hunter to head coach and make Marchment an Assistant coach.

  7. They will sign a coach when they find one...Doug Wilson is a very quiet person to the media so nobody in on the planet (except for the obvious ones) has a clue who they will sign.

But they just hired Todd McLellan! The assistant coach of the Red Wings. That deserves a Best Answer!  ;)

  8. McLellan or maybe a promotion from within.  I think they will get Campbell to stay, but mostly the team will stay the same  (no major acquisitions other than the couple alternate goalies they picked up.)

    I hope not Quenneville though!

  9. Ronnie James DIO!

Actually I heard they were trying to talk to McLellan the Wings assistant! He would be a good choice, he has Assistant coached with some great coaches, players and teams! I hate to see him go, if he does, but San Jose would be the best opening available for him.

  10. Marc Crawford. Signed, Stamped, and Delivered.
