My brother did too, as my dad had passed away before I got married.  It was nice to have my brother. It was just the two of us growing up too and we were always close and best friends.

I considered having my brother walk me down the aisle, or having my partner's dad walk me down the aisle.

Then I decided my mum should do it as it really doesn't have to be a male. My mum raised me and has been there for me through pretty much everything so it makes sense that it should be her and no-one else.

My wedding is far from traditional anyway, I'm wearing Pink, my brother will be my bridesmaid (seeing as he's not walking me down the aisle) and all sorts of other things that aren't part of the big white wedding. So mum walking me down the aisle is just part of the untraditionalism of the wedding hehe.

Well, I imagine that my father would want to do this, and not that I don't want him to, but I would actually like to have my son do it.  He's my life and I think it would be great to have him be the one to "give me away".  I may have them both do it.  I haven't completely decided on this yet.

My Grandpa will walk me down the aisle.  My father passed away in '01 and my grandpa (my mom's dad) was his best friend so I couldnt think of anyone better.
