It’s a tough call to separate Serena Williams and Justine Henin. Serena is the model of power and timing, which combine to create cold, hard winners; Henin the owner of arguably the best backhand in tennis as well as supreme touch and an ability to create angles. Both move well around the court, and both will fight to the death. Serena though is the defending champion, and Henin the wildcard with more than 18 months away from the court. And in the final, that might prove to be the difference between the pair. Although as Kim Clijsters proved at the 2009 US Open, fairytale comebacks do happen.
