I wish that this fight would happen instead of Manny fighting David Diaz.  Lets face it, Diaz is a alright fighter that will lose and will give Pacquiao a paper title, which will lead to bigger fights with Pacman.  If Manny fought Guzman, I would favor Guzman to win, and I think that Guzman is the only one who can outbox Manny to a win.  Marquez tried, but he lost, whether people agree or not.  Humberto Soto was seen as this unstoppable force at 130 pounds, and Guzman handled him fairly easy- that fight impressed me a lot concerning Guzman's skill level.  He also stood toe to toe with Soto at certain points, and he was actually getting the better of it- he can box and brawl effectively when he needs to.  I think that Guzman is the best 130 pounder out there and I think that Bob Arum knows it, which is why he doesn't want to match him with Pacquiao.  However, I recently read that Arum is looking to co-promote Guzman with Sycuan Warriors Promotions, so maybe they will finally meet at 135 sometime because Guzman comes into his fights in the 140s, so you know he can make 135 easy.  If the fight goes down, I would pick Guzman to win a decision.

Edit: suchi t- no one cares about the paper titles anymore.  If this fight happened, it would be at 135 and even if Pacman beats David Diaz, he is still not a champion because Joel Casamayor is the true champ.  And beating Soto is an excellent victory based on how good Soto looked before the fight.

Yeah, Guzman vs Valero first, then Manny will fight the winner after he defeats David Diaz, Juan Diaz and Joel Casamayor and even Nate Campbell, and wow, Manny Pacquiao will get richer.

The Sycuan Warrior would most likely school MP. It wouldn't be an exciting fight because JG is a Floyd type of runner "I mean fighter" but if I was a betting man I would go with JG.

I know a lot of people will probably think I am nuts but styles make fights & JG would win by UD. He doesn't have knock out power nor the heart to trade with anyone dangerous especially somebody like MP but he is an intelligent boxer & it would be a bad move for MP.

just because he beat soto doesnt mean he's hella good and dat he deserves a shot at a manny pacquaio... he should fight valero first and winner takes on manny... because getting a title shot/a big payday is not going to be easy... i mean, they both don't even have a title that's worthy of manny to take...

Have Guzman get in the ring with Edwin Valero first. Valero (southpaw) has the most powerful right jab and right hook for any lefty and second most powerful left hand if not tied for first with Manny PacMan. Guzman's defensive/stick and run style makes it to difficult to tell whether he would beat Valero or PacMan. I think he has a better chance against PacMan because PacMan doesnt have a right hand where Valero comes from everywhere with thunder. Valero 23-0, 23 ko's and his first 18 bouts were 1st round ko's.
