Who will win ... The Group Heart and Jackson Brown or The Republicans who used songs without permission? ?

Ok, Jackson Brown already sued and won, but Heart is just getting the legal action against Republicans started.

McCain used the song, "Running On Empty" and had to pay fines and royalties.

Palin has been using the song,"Barracuda"

Orleans and Van Halen too. These people are shameless, if they steal other people's ideas they have no problem with stealing people's music.

The Republicans paid to use that music.

You are dreaming if you think that the Republicans used that music without payiing licensing fees to the Producers of that music.

That music is licensed by the producers to be used by anyone willing to pay the licensing fees.

The Republicans paid the licensing fees to use the music.

However my recommendation to the Republicans is that they should make certain the artists support the Republicans before they pay the producer the licensing fees to use the music.

The result has been to pay money to artists who oppose the Republicans and also give free advertising to ungrateful artists who oppose the Republicans.

Unfotunately these producers have long lists of music they will sell the licensing rights to but they do not list the political affiliations of the artists, and the producers do not care as long as they get their money.
