  1. Blue Ray, H-D tricks people.

  2. blu-ray

  3. HD fool, blu ray can suck me.

HD is winning right now and blu ray is expensive and lame

  4. blue ray i have a ps3 and it looks way better than hd movies

  5. It's been said a million times. Blu-Ray wins....

  6. Blu ray is too expensive but i think blue ray is good

  7. I think Blu-Ray will survive

  8. Blu-ray won long ago, it's only now that people are realizing it.

HD has nothing to offer except it is a little cheaper.

Blu-ray has higher resolution and the discs hold more data.  It is technically superior in every way.

However,  I plan on never owning either of them.  The real answer is high-definition downloadable movies.  My PC is connected to my TV, and in a few years everyone else will be doing this as well.  Just download what you want, store it on a hard drive, and never again worry about a scratched disc.

  9. I dont understand the difference???

  10. Don't know yet, but Sony needs to lose again or it will become too powerful in the media.  Imagine, Sony movies look "better" on Sony players because they encode some proprietary stuff on their disks.

  11. Considering what's going right now with studios switching to BlueRay, it looks like it will win.

But I would wait until it is a done deal. You never know...

  12. Blu-Ray.  Warner just dumped HD DVD to go Blu-Ray exclusive, leaving HD supported by only Paramount and Universal.  With 70%+ of movies coming out on Blu-Ray, they have a huge advantage.

  13. the blue jays

  14. Hi jman,

HD DVD (Toshiba) vs Blu Ray (Sony).

The battle rages and it looks like consumers will have to face a dual format much like the dash R and plus R DVDs.

Samsung & LG already offer dual format machines and others will follow. This probably means both formats will survive.

Blu Ray is capturing most of the hollywood productions and HD most of the p**n.

Both use interactive menus but differences are – Blu-Ray capacity is 50Gb and HD-DVD is 30Gb. HD-DVD is region free while Blu-Ray is divided into three regions. (Figures Sony will try to stick it to the consumer) A disadvantage to HD-DVD is they are not all hard coated as are the Blu-Ray. HD-DVDs scratch as easily as regular DVDs while the Blu-Ray are more scratch resistant.

  15. I have to say blue ray, it has great memory capacity and it is formated for HD.

  16. HD-DVD is going to die before the end of 2008.

    Blu-Ray has already won.

  17. Hoping the Blu-Ray

it's already way ahead..... HD players are mostly sold at walmart and places like that too, so that's got to be a good sign

  18. Judging by what the big studios are doing, it's going to be Blue Ray.

Blu-Ray is supported by the more companies and recording studios than HD-DVD.
