So many choices ... New Zealand huge favourites ... British teams rank outsiders ... what do you think?

    But hopefuly like Australia 2003, when my heart said England but my head said New Zealand, my heart will prevail!

  4. All Blacks. I can't see anyone beating them this time. I haven't seen any other team even coming close to them so far... :o(

  5. New Zealand is the favorite but in the end the cup will be held proudly by John Smit the Springbok Captain. I think the Springboks will win the cup cos they are the best.

  6. Wales would have to be the best hustlers ever if their woeful performance against England was only a bluff. I can't see Wales getting very far although I would love them to.As long as they beat the English(like they did in the last 6 nations game) I don't mind.

    Realistically, it will be between the southern hemisphere giants, NZ, SA and Aus.

  7. Most of you seem to think the team to beat is New Zeeland.If this is in fact the case and history has any say in the matter, then the Boks have the best chance by far.

    In 72 games played the Springboks have beaten the All Blacks 30 times. Three games have been drawn.

    Out of a whopping 128 games the Aussies could beat them only 38 times.

    England played 29 games against New Zeeland and could win a total of 6.

    France have played them 45 times and won 10. Only three other countries have ever beaten the mighty All Blacks. Ireland or Scotland are not one of those.

  9. British teams are rank full stop,  except England who have achieved something the other Home Nations never will.  At least England can beat the ALL BLACKS.

    It will be a test between NZ and Australia or NZ and SA.  Which ever one it is it will be a AWSOME game to watch!!!!!!!

New Zealand are favourites but then again so they where in 1995, 1999 and 2003 so they do look like the team to beat, but South Africa is also looking good having their most capped team ever and Australia is also showing some form. Both of those teams are the only ones who recently beat New Zealand in the last two years. Two other factors are home advantage and injuries. my bet is South Africa, or at the very least a Southern Hemisphere team. but it will be quite a SHOW!! to enjoy

It depends on the referees.  If the referees are good then New Zealand will win as they are good at getting turnover ball at rucks and malls and dominant in the scrums.  But many refs (especially the northern hemisphere refs) seem to have trouble controlling the scrum and the rucks and malls and constantly get calls wrong.  So if the refs run the game like this then I think probably the Springboks will win.

  16. I also think New Zealand but they seam to choke at the final step but somehow I dont think so this time.

    I also thinkthat France will be there or there abouts as well due to them being the host nation.

    As for the british teams with a chance the only 1 that I would go for would be Ireland but after Saturdays performance they'll be lucky to get past the group stages with that performance.
