Who will win the 2008 Tour de France? Who do you want to win?

i don't know who will win but i want eather Christian Vandevelde or Riccardo Ricco.

Unless he blows up in the Alps, I'm picking Cadel Evans, 2nd overall last year, plus he's a good time trialer.  I think it will come down to the last TT for sure but I think he has the legs.

The odds on favorite to win is Cadel Evans. I think that he will be able to do so since Alberto Contador and Levi Liephiemer are not in the race. Alberto is probably the best rider in pro cycling.

I like Cadel but I will be rooting for Christian Vande Velde. He is the biggest surprise in this years tour.  I also like Riccardo Ricco. At only 20 yrs old, he looks likely to be the next Lance Armstrong.

Don't count out Frank Schleck. He has the best team in the race whereas, Evans has one of the worst.

Cadel Evans has a good chance of holding on to Yellow, or at least ending up with it in Paris (though we'll see how his bruised collar bone ends up), though without the time bonuses this year, it's harder for the leaders to pull ahead in the overall, but also harder for those in the deficit to pull up.

I don't think Frank Schleck has the legs to keep a high position (though Andy proved that the Schlecks are built for grand tours with his performance in the '07 Giro), I doubt he'll end up on the top spot, though I'd keep him in mind for the top 3.

Vande Velde has a reasonable chance of riding Le Champs in Yellow, he's certainly held up near the top thus far.

Really, I think this tour is going to be nearly impossible to call until the last few days (and even then it may be very close).  I think the race leaders will flip around right until the bitter end.

But we're not even half way through the race.

it's still a pretty tight race. I'd like Valverde to win, but I think he's on the outside at this point..

Well obviously Riccardo Ricco can't win now that he's been kicked out for doping.

And Mark Cavendish can't either since he's leaving for the olympics.  Man, he's fast though!

I'd also say that Cadel Evans has a good shot, but it's hard to tell at this point.

I would like for any rider of Francaise des Jeux to win.  Perhaps Sebastian Chavanel.  It'd be nice to have a Frenchman win in my opinion.
