Kyle Busch has to be the favorite with 6 wins already.  Don't drivers get 10 bonus points for each race they've won when they start "The Chase"?  If so, then you're talking about at least a 30 point advantage that Kyle will have on everybody else when The Chase starts.  My 2nd choice is Carl Edwards then Jeff Burton.  Jimmie Johnson can't be left out either.

It's pretty wide open, more than you might think given Shrub's early dominance.

Between Busch, Junior, Burton and Edwards- it looks liek a pretty good fight.

I wouldn't go shoveling dirt on Johnson and Kahne just yet.

Matt  Kenseth. Is there any doubt???? Of course there is. The favorite has to be the 18 car and if there was no chase I think he would win easily.

Since there is I will have to go with the 48 car. He turns it on in the chase. Goes for wins instead of settling. Also there is the Chad factor. Perhaps just perhaps the best crew chief of all times.

Cannot believe I am saying this, but I think Busch has the best shot at it. He is just really determined to show Hendrick he made the wrong move, I guess. But it always seems last years dominate person sucks the next year, so I think the expectations for next year will be HUGE for Busch, so I think he'll have a hard time living up to them. He may not even be dominate at all, its just the NASCAR cycle, every year its different.

Jimmie Johnson-2 time champ. going for a three peat...which only ONE other driver has done. 5th in points right now. he's amazing.

Carl Edwards-hasn't won a championship yet..defintely gonna be trying hard to win.

Jeff Gordon-4 time champ. no wins yet this season but he has a big chance of winning the championship.

Dale Jr-2nd in points. he's been one of the most consisten drivers all year & with his new team..he's definitely gonna be a big contender for the cup.
