I'm not just saying this because I'm a total Twins fan but I really think that there going to make it through. I mean they White Sox's and the Twins have been fighting for the Division for a couple of weeks now and the Twins came from behind and have you seen some of the players like Mauer, Span, Kubel, Young, and Moreno they have been great and every other player. I think that if they keep it up they will make the playoffs.

  1. insane, i dont know why u brought up who Minnesota has played the last 40 games. Chicago since July 8th, have played Kansas City 12 times and are only 7-5 versus them. If they cant beat them then how will they beat the elite teams? Minnesota has a better SP they both have bad bullpens but Minnesota has the better closer in Joe Nathan. Minnesota has better bats and can manufacture runs unlike the Sox who heavily rely on the long ball

  2. Twins will win it. White Sox always struggle in September and the Twins just play better baseball. Sox rely solely on home runs while the Twins can manufacture runs playing small ball. Plus Liriano is back and he looked great in his first start back.

  3. This struggle for the Central started right after the All star break lets take at what the teams have done since than

Starting Pitching-The ChiSox starters are soooooo inconsistent their ERA has been in the mid 5s since the All Star break, Minnesota's starter with the addition of Liriano have been at 3.70 and they've of course aloud less runs since the All Star break compared to the White Sox

    Starting Pitching-Twins

Bullpen-They both suck this is a total tie

    Bullpen-Tie

Batting-The ChiSox rely on Homeruns hey look at my fancy dinger....well Minnesota has scored the most runs compared to the White Sox since the All Star break. Minnesota has the best BA With Runners in scoring position and the better Average all around than the White Sox. The Twins are hitting .280 since the All Star break and the White Sox have been hitting .250.

    Batting-Minnesota

Minnesota has more errors since the All Star break but have aloud less extra base hits from their Outfield..meaning they have more power in their throws...and if you were to watch Punto play..he's much better compared to alot of other infeilders, oh and Minnesota gets Casilla back soon who is another Punto so because of him coming back there will be less errors because it's been coming from that position since he was gone and Minnesota gets the advantage

    Fielding-Minnesota

Chicago has been like 15-25 or so in their last 40 games and Minnesota is 23-17 in their past 40 games

Chicago is trying to get hot...but they will fall and Minnesota will get the last at bat

  4. well you cant really tell who will win

  5. Chicago White Sox

  6. The Twins!!

    Get to know um!!

  7. In the Last 40 games the Twins have played the Indians 9 times, The Mariners 6 times, and the Royals 3 times,

But that is meaningless.  If the White Sox win 93 games they got the Central, if the White Sox win 91, they got the Wild card.

Either way, the race is going to be close.

  8. The Twinkies.

  9. soxs

  10. Twins

  11. No one saw either team coming, but the Twins were dismissed totally since they lost Torii Hunter to free agency and traded Johan Santana. Boy, this reminds me of the movie "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid". Who ARE those guys? The White Sox do have a little more depth and will probably outlast the Twins, but I'm not betting my favorite nickel on it at all. It would be nice if both made it, huh.
