Don't confuse this w/ the reality/competition programs (e.g. "Project Runaway)". & I will ask that question L8r. My parents occasionally watch "Antiques Roadshow". I don't know what "Intervention" is about. I'd like 2 read some responses from "Intervention" viewers & those who believe it should get this Emmy. The big show takes place 9/21 on ABC.

I'm gonna go with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.  It's a great show that helps people out and builds them fantastic homes.  None of the others come close to it.  I'll be shocked if it doesn't win.

Intervention is a show about people with addiction, either drug or alcohol, usually.  Their family and friends come together to stage an "intervention" (hence the name) where they basically "surprise" the person and insist that they go to rehab.  The person thinks they are being filmed for a documentary about addiction, until the intervention happens.  "Intervention" is something that happens in real life, but rehab doesn't often work with these people because they can't really be helped until they admit they have a problem and are willing to accept help.  But it's a good try when friends and family don't know what else to do when they watch someone they love basically killing themself.
