Who will win the French Open, male and female?

the williams sisters are out,henin isnt there and mauresmo is out. Sharapova is not playing very well at all(27 double faults in 2 rounds). I think its wide open and zvonareva and azarenka could beat all the top players on clay, but I will go out on a limb here and say azarenka vs. ivanovic in the final.

And on the mens side I still think it will be federer vs. nadal, and I think federer will hold his level, keep his cool and dominate the king of clay like he "almost" did in Hamburg.

i'd love to see rafael nadal wins RG for the 4th consecutive time! 'm hoping it too..

on women's side, my bet is maria sharapova... today, SUNDAY, is a rest day for her... i'm hoping she'll do better on Week 2 in RG..

Rafa Nadal will claim the title yet again.

Im pretty sure it`ll be a Nadal/Federer final.

For women. I think Maria Sharapova has a great chance though i think Safina might give Maria a hard match. Or Jelena Jancovic.

Mens: theres no doubt  that Nadal is going to win!!

Womens: its more tricky!! either jankovic, ivanovic, or maybe kuznetsova!!

i think federer will beat nadal this year. i'm going to guess that ivanovic wins the title this year.

for men side it's pretty clear that is one of the "big 3" (federer, nadal, djokovic).  It'll be a big surprise if neither one of them claim the title.

for women's side, with the ousted of williams sisters and the retirement of henin, it's pretty much anybodies game.  Eventhough sharapova is the top seed but clay is her least favourite surface,german open champion safina might upset her in the 4th round.  Former finalists - dementieva & kuznetsova could also be the title contender.  Former top ten player zvonareva & sensation teenagers such as azarenka, szavay & radwanska could do some damages in the tournament.  For bottom half of the draw, both serbians ivanovic & jankovic are the clear favourites.

Novak Djokovic - He showed us he can match Nadal on clay and I personally think he is always improving after being beaten,  he learns on his mistakes and next time plays better. I think he missed an opportunity in Hamburg and Paris is a good place for him to revenge! And Federer is no match for him, hahaha!!!!

Jelena Jankovic - With her nemesis out, she is able to go all the way to semifinal where she can meet Ana Ivanovic, also one of hers nightmare. But it's time for her nightmare to be gone and clay is better surface for her. Top half of the draw is unpredictable but I think Elena Dementieva is the biggest threat to all of the women in top half. Sharapova doesn't have a chace, Dinara will kick her *** day after tomorrow!
