  1. USC will blow through the Pac-10 undefeated but they will lose to Ohio State late in the season and will miss out on the championship game

  2. UCLA

  3. i got oregan pullin it out

  4. USC, but Arizona State could challenge

  5. USC will win it all this year!

  6. ^^^^ #1 - USC plays Ohio St. week 3 or 4 so they can't lose to Ohio St. late in the season.  Playing Ohio St. early is probably better for USC because if they lose they have plenty of time to get back up to #2 or #1 in the polls.

#2 - USC will win the Pac-10 and at worst tie for first because of an upset (like Stanford did last year) but win the tiebreaker anyways.  Half of their roster would easily be starting for any other team in the conference.  It's USC's to lose.

#3 - Oregon, Arizona St, & Cal have an outside chance, but even if one of them manages to beat USC they will probably mess it up by losing to each other and getting upset by a team they should beat.  Arizona St. will live and die with Rudy Carpenter and pray that they're D can keep the score away from AFL like numbers.  Oregon lose some key players, but they recruit well.  Cal has the athletes, but as we saw last year, we don't know what team is going to show up game day: the #2 ranked, Tennessee smashing, offensive powerhouse OR the 0-5 bears that just plain quit on the field.

#4 - The next tier would be UCLA, Oregon St. and dare I say Stanford.  These teams have little to no chance to win the Pac-10, but to have upset potential.  Who knows? They may put together a season to remember, but that's doubtful.  However, it's no coincidence that these 3 programs were the last three Pac-10 teams to beat the juggernaut known as USC.

#5 - Washington, Washington St, and Arizona follow closely behind them, and also have outside potential.  But as we have seen in recent history, these 3 teams always manage to lost to some terrible team and any respectable BCS team should beat.  Out of these teams Washington has the best chance to break out of this group.
