  1. Probably Roger Federer

  2. Roddick because his serve zooms by you on hardcourt!

I agree with anna also! I <3 Roddick

  3. djokovic cause last time he came second and now cause federer is become old and not playin well an nadal sucks on synthetic so djokovic can win.will win. have to win . i really wish he wins

  4. andy roddick!!!!

    becuase:

1- he'll be rested since he's not going to beijing.-

2- he has to win something more this year or he'll fall out of the top 10.-

    3.- he's really cute.-

4.- and because i really really want him to win.-

    haha, let me dream.-

    :)

  5. I like Rafa's chance to win, yes he lost in the semi to Novak Djokovic in Cincy.  It's not like he lost to a no name, Djokovic is a very good hard court player.  He won Montreal last year, and got to US Open final last yr as well.  So Djokovic is a serious contender for the crown.

You can never count out Roger Federer, he's won it 4 years in a row.  But Roger hasn't been playing well in '08 and is more shaky

    right now than ever before.

Andy Murray has had a great summer so far, semi's at the Canadian Open and Beat Djokovic for the 2nd week in a row to win Cincy yesterday.

Rafa has had a good run so far, and has clearly been the most consistent player on tour this year, I would give him a slight edge right now to win his 1st US Open title.

Andy Roddick and James Blake have no chance right now to win unless they turn it around very quickly.  I'll be very interested to see how Blake does in Beijing at the Olympics....Blake has been dismal this summer with some very disappointing results, and Andy Roddick is skipping the Olympics to play LA and Washington here in the States.  He should win both of those tournaments since all of the top guns will be in Beijing fighting for the gold.

If I had to go with a winner for the US Open I'd go with Rafa Nadal to win and Federer, Djokovic and Murray the other contenders right now.

  6. Gotta be Federer!

He's got the best game in the world on hard court!

He always steps it up 4 the majors - you know Federer's not going out in early rounds as he has done in toronto and cincy.

Nadal isn't up 2 winning the US yet - his hard court game is not gr8.

And Djokovic just aint that good, although he does have a pretty good game on hard, he wont be able to compete with the likes of Federer!

Djokivic is a bit overhyped as Murray (who lets be honest isn't gr8)outclassed him 2 weeks in  a row - embarassing for djokivic!

I'm definately rooting for federer - he's such a cool guy, and his tennis game is beautiful! - GO FEDEX

  7. I would say Rafa Nadal however I fear he may burn out by then. He is the form player and the new no.1 to-be.

Obviously the other contenders are Federer and Djokovic.

For Federer right now i'd say he won't win it. But nearly a month is a long time in tennis and alot can happen from now until then.

I think Murray is now a genuine contender for it. But I don't see him winning a Grand Slam quite yet though having said that I fancy him to get to a first major semi final.

I think I will be brave and say Andy Murray! I would say Rafa but the risk of burn out means I hesitate.

All four of the players I mention are contenders. Anyone of them could win it. I don't see anyone else winning it.

  8. federer

  9. Roger Federer

  10. Well this is a good question!!!!!!

well obviously nadal, federer, and djokovic will be the favorites

but i'll pick djokovic cause he's good at hard courts

my dark horse is andy murray:)

  11. well, it is not going to be federer.. he has lost alot of his form, and is feeling very shaky right now.. and the pressure of the last grandslam of the year is going to get to him...

nadal, possible, he is the in form player,, but he could also burn out bewteen now and then, and his game is not super primed for hardcourt just yet..

djovick.. he does have the game and strokes to play on hardcourt.. he is all about hardcourt.. but being too cocky might get him losing...

dark horses to win it.. Andy murray and richard gasquet... one of them are due for a slam some day

  12. I think Djokovic He rocks on hard court

  13. I am saying Nadal because he is on a roll and personally think that he is better than Djokovic and Federer now tumbling downhill.  I bet he is going out in the Quarterfinals.  Although Andy Murray is a force to be reckoned with.

  14. Rafael Nadal because he is AMAZING  x
