  1. New Zealand are the red hot favourites after beating England 44-12.

I would pick Argentina as the strong favourites, I know they are not that same team but are solid .......

Third- France my favourite team- they've lost their flare but never ever count France out.

    Others on the Hunt

    4. Australia- Capable but not consistent

    5. South Africa- They always surprise me ........they loose to soft opponents when they shouldn't.

    6. England- Same as the Soccer Team

    7. Wales- Won the 6 nations....I was surprised now.

    8. Rep of Ireland- They have quality players but there is no moral or positive atmosphere in that team

  2. I'm England through and through and will be going to see it , but my brain says "all Blacks",  they have done a job on us today and it shows in our preperation , our game plan is 5 years behind... but fingers crossed

  3. Too far away to tell, anything could happen between now and then but I'm going to say Ireland in a completely unbiased opinion.

  4. England. And we should of won 2007 because that was a try. England have some great talent coming threw. But if not us Wales!!!

  5. New Zealand as moost if not all of thier squad that thrashed us (England) will; still be able to play in that world cup

  6. I think the NewZealanders or the Australian Team will fight it out to win.

  7. If Robbie Deans coaching Australia at 2011 i would say Australia

To England fans ......... saying all blacks will win because they beat your team in Christchurch is a bit over-rating ur team ... U ain't that good ........ and both SA and OZ would thrash u ........

  8. i will be  watching to see what robbie deans does with the aussies , leading up to the world cup, if he does what it did for the canterbury c   ,,  so i tell you then

  9. New Zealand - Australia final with wales and japan somewhere in the top 8.

  10. I'm with Risteard - way too early to tell at the moment.

At least one of the big 3 southern hemisphere teams will be in the final though, that's a certainty.

Edit - Thoth, how can you possibly say NZ are "red hot favourites" after beating England this weekend? That game  counts for jack s**t - RWC 2011 is more than 3 years away mate!!

  11. Uganda

  12. Too far away.

We don't know what is going to happen between now and then.

New Zealand will probably go in as favourite same as every year but if they lose some key players because of their selection laws then it might be a bit different.

  13. why are people even mentioning england and the final in the same sentence? they have no chance! australia vs france final. AUSTRALIA TO WIN :]

  14. if you saw the game a couple of hours ago between england and the all blacks, then you'd have to say "Not england" at this rate.  the all-blacks i expect, if they can stop being so arrogant!

  15. Australia.Simply because they have a super coach in Robbie Deans & also have a mix of experienced & youthful players who will be firing by 2011.They will probably have to beat the all blacks  along the way but they are more than capable.

  16. south africa new zealand final, south africia will win !!

no doubt new zealand will choke as usual.

    1 win NZ

    2 wins australia

    1 win england

    3 wins SA

  17. It's too far away to tell, but NZ are tough to beat in NZ.

  18. New Zealand!!! ALL BLACKS ALL THE WAY!!!

  19. All Blacks no doubt.

Think about it. The World Cup is being hosted in New Zealand. The stadiums will be packed full of All Blacks fans, there won't be many other supporters. Not during All Black games anyway. They'll have homefield advantage, really how often do the All Blacks lose a home game? Hardly ever thats how often. They'll be training at home, they know the grounds of every Stadium, they know the cities, they know the people, the know the weather. All the advantages make it more probable and possible for them to be the winners.

Also remember the last time New Zealand hosted the world cup, sure I wasn't born but still. It was 1987, the first ever world cup (joint hosted with Australia but does that really matter?) and who won it? We did. So really theres no doubt in my mind that they're gonna win.

The other teams aren't gonna be able to handle the pressure that New Zealanders place on the World Cup. They might not even be able to leave their hotels without feeling hated. Its not their fault for being loyal and proud of representing their country but its bound to happen. Not by every single New Zealander but there will be some idiots out there who'll try to abuse them in some way. Verbal of course. I'd hate to think that it would get so out of hand that some players from other teams get beat up by rowdy New Zealanders.
