probably  NZ but they do seem to have a habit of choking on the big occasion, so if they bottle it it could be a battle between south africa or france, with england australia and ireland  as a wild card  but if i had to put my house on it i would say NZ

If NZ are in form an playing well, then  I believe they will win. The NZ team which is fit, in form and has no injuries is virtually unstoppable.

If not NZ, my bet would be South Africa

I think that the last two teams that will fight for the cup will be New Zealand and Australia it will be an intense game and i know New Zealand will pull through.

Australia is a very strong team to play and they dont play like sissys too, there that team that really makes you run for your money....

If it comes down to Australia and New Zealand then it will be the best game ever to watch!

The Main contenders are: New Zealand, South Africa, Australia and France. The trophy will end up with one of those countries no doubt.

Lets start with France. Looking at the other 3 countries what is unique about France? They are from the Northern Hemisphere. That with the fact that it is in their home country, makes them a strong contender. The other 3 are used to different condtions. I just don't think they have what it takes to take out of the other 3 in a semi and then again in the final.

Australia, just when everybody is ready to write them of they beat the all blacks at home. They can never be underestimated and are playing some good rugby at the moment. With Gregan the most experienced test player they will be a force to reckon with.

South Africa will take the trophy. (My opinion). They have a very physical team with a mixture of experience and younth. They beat New Zealand last year, came very close to doing it again this year, and to top it all, the all blacks struggled to put away their "B" team in the Tri nations. South Africa are hungry for success.

The All Blacks are the number one team and have the best team by some distance. BUT they have developed a chokers tag at the worldcup. If the opposition can get inside their heads they will be easy to beat. They have really no significant weaknesses in their team, but Carter hasn't been in great form the past few months(except for Saturdays game) Even without him they have a strong squad and incredible depth.

My bet would be ont the Bokke.
