I think Los Angeles will win, they have too much sports history not to win. The lakers, dodgers, rams, raiders, chargers, kings.

  1. Not one of the colleges, thats for sure

  2. You didn't even mention UCLA and unfortunately SUC.  The Rams, Chargers and Kings have never won anything.  But this is just a stupid espn list thing they always do and create all this hype like whos the greatest ever.

  3. I agree with one of the other answerers...this is a really dumb segment that ESPN has...I honestly don't care who wins it...

  4. It should be a no-brainer, New York is it!

Every major professional team that lasted for a decent length of time around here has won at least one championship.  This includes the Mets, Yankees, Knicks, and Rangers.  The Jets also won while they were still in New York, as did the Dodgers and baseball Giants.  The football Giants didn't win until they moved to Jersey, so I personally don't count them.

If we count the football Giants, we also have to count the Devils and Islanders, who have also won championships.  If you do that, then you're including the longest string of Stanley Cup championships for an American team, with the Isles' run from 1980-1983.

New York breeds winners (though some take a while to come around *cough*Knicks*cough*).  Winners breed titles.  Therefore, New York breeds titles.

What other place can make such an argument?

EDIT: VALDOSTA??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME???

  5. This is the stupidest contest ESPN Has made to date

and I thought "Who's Now" was stupid

this is just another cheep shot at raitings

becasue obviously July is the lowest raitings for sportscenter

What is it REALLY going to proove?

    will anybody care?

will anybody call it "titletown" for many years to come?

    I highly doubt it

  6. detroit will win there in the finals there the baseball basketball and hockey town

  7. How can it not be New York?

In baseball alone there are 35 Worlds Championships

    (26 - Yankees; 2 Mets, 1 Dodgers, and 6 Giants)

...plus the NFL (Giants and Jets), NBA (Knicks) and NHL

    (Rangers, Islanders).

I do know one thing, it sure as the h**l won't be Philadelphia.

  8. I answered a question just like this! Im really intrigued to see who will win myself! I think all of the cities left have great stories! Just because Im from North Carolina and a die-hard Tarheels fan Ima go way out on the limb and say Chapel Hill, NC!

For a more realistic choice I'd say some city that has titles in the most sports, Pro & College titles like LA, or Pittsburgh!

  9. This is a really stupid contest but I'm gonna vote for Williamsport PA.   They crown a champion every year.

  10. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/titletown...

You can go here to vote, but I think it will be Pittsburgh.  World Series, Super Bowls (most in the NFL), Pittsburgh Penguins (Mario Lemieux).... let's not even get into high school football and some of the other minor league organizations.

  11. This whole thing was something they invented in order to create a story and give the award to Boston. The sad part is, there are people who think if one of those nitwits on ESPN said it, then it's true.

  12. No question, Boston.  Red Sox WS Champs, Celtics NBA Finals Champs, and Pats in the Super Bowl... all within the last year.

  13. I think the better question would be does anyone really care if ESPN thinks their town is Titletown?

  14. I will vote for Mansillona (or however you spell it) Ohio

  15. New York.
