Question:

Who will you be most happy to see win the cup?

South Africa - France - England - Argentina

Most likey to take it out would be the Boks! Since they were really dominating during the S14 season. Englands only got Wilkinson to rely on for all their points. While France will be a hard team to beat on their home ground during a final. Not ruling out the boys from Argentina... just the least likey team to win. History and stats are against them.

After the events of last weekend... anything is possible. But what do you think?

  1. South Africa because they are a good team to watch play and have been on decent form throughout the world cup. Or Argentina entering as outsiders but very tough team to beat!

  2. I have roots in France, so I'm pulling for them to win it. If they don't, I'd love to see Argentina win it, although I don't think they're good enough. (Much better than I thought, don't get me wrong, but perhaps not quite THAT good yet.) As for England and South Africa, I don't really have a preference. Maybe England by default, since that would at least show that tales of the demise of northern hemisphere rugby are greatly exaggerated. ;-)

  3. France of course! It's my country, and that would be so bad to be stopped now!!

But knowing the team, I konw that they may not manage to play the level they played last week-end...

  4. I would love to see the pumas win it........this team is so underrated, yet they produce some fantastic rugby and never fail to entertain me!

They rarely get to play as an international team, due to not being part of any competition, Tri Nations and the 6N, yet manage to give a good game to their opponents every time.

Hope they give the bokks a good fight on Sunday!

  5. "Who will you be most happy to see win the cup? "

has to be Argentina, it would be great to see them win.

Who do I think will win? S.Africa

Also I think England have a chance of beating the odds and knocking out the French, not a huge chance but they will certainly prefer going up against les bleus(who they have already beaten this year) rather than New Zealand or even the Springboks.

  6. the Pumas.  Good honest rugger, a joy to watch.  They seem to play more cleanly that some teams, like NZ with their deliberate obstruction of runners and like SA targetting England's Robinson.

  7. France will win the final against England. (remember the test match last august in Marseille: France - England = 22-9  / and also because since 2004 England has only one victory vs France !)

And you may have noticed that the french team is kind of well prepared this year ;-))

Then, in the final, nothing will stop them, in their stadium, with all their fans ...whoever will be the other team, they will have no chance...

I would say SA better than Pumas. Just because I hate the way the Pumas play...just pick and go, kicks,...this is not the real GAME !

Hope it's not gonna rain !

    Kisses from Nice, France

  8. Viva La France.

I'd like to see a SA v France final with France being the winners.

  9. Considering the upsets of the tournament so far, it could reasonably be any of the four. Personally I of course support South Africa, since I live there.

On the other hand, to see Argentina play so well was a joy. To have them in the final will actually be great, although of course I don't want my country's team to lose.

And I loved it when the English beat the Aussies! France is of course, never a team to be taken lightly. They are a bit inconsistent but boy, when they are on form they are almost unbeatable!

Anyways, I think South Africa has the best chance, France & England more or less equal chance and Argentina with an outside chance.

  10. Definately Argentina, they already have a foot in the door of the tri-nations tournament. If they take this RWC out they will certainly not be ignored.

I know plenty of people are complaining about it becoming a quad nations because: Argentina is so far away, it would make the tournament too long and most of Argentina's players play for professional clubs in europe so it will just not work.

However... how good would it be? Bring our South American friends in I say. Maybe the Puma's can show us kiwi's a thing or two about playing with passion because I have never seen a New Zealand International Rugby side play with passion IMO (I have only been following rugby for 10 years though).

I read an article this morning that the IRB is suggesting that SANZAR should bring the Puma's in so it is looking good!!

  11. South Africa for sure. I am South African and believe the Boks has what it takes to win the 2007 world-cup. You can see they are a hungry team and they play for each other and their country.

Viva Bokke, Go Bokke makes us proud.

  12. The Boks.  Because if they dont I will be inconsolable and my children (who just want this World Cup over so that they can have their mom back) will have to watch me wallow in misery for a few days.

Of course the possibility of my beloved boys losing is just toooooo ridiculous for words.......isnt it?  I need a cigarette.

  13. South Africa or Argentina

  14. I would prefer Argentina to take it home, despite them knocking us out. They have no tournament and only play friendlies and for them to win would be great for the game.
