  1. When Tyson couldn’t bully he couldn’t win, and he wouldn’t bully Foreman.  I figure it would be a good fight for the first 2 rounds with Tyson charging in, but after a couple near knockout uppercuts by Foreman, Tyson would come in less and less, until George Wadded around the ring after him and trapping him in a corner and reining blows when he can. Tyson gets his shots in too but they don’t bother Big George too much .Tyson gets in trouble a few times in the fight and probably hits the canvas once or twice and loses a UD.

Give Tyson his credit for having an Iron jaw, he often does not get credit for having one of the best jaws in boxing. Tysons chin never once let him down, his conditioning later in his career became worse and worse untill he was a shell of him former self when he still took a brutal beating from Lennox Lewis for 8 rounds or so.

Tyson with Cus Damotto,Kevin Rooney, and Teddy Atlas for his whole career Tyson would have went undefeated into 2000. and retired undefeated. Possibly Holyfield or Lewis may still have beaten him given their primes.

Tyson will go down as a sad story in boxing, A what could have been, After King got hold of Tyson, it doomed him, he took easier and easier fights, lost his trainers and got S****y replacements who are just king foot soldiers who drained Tyson of lil money King gave him.

Tyson stopped caring for the sport and turned money hungry, and he knew he lost his tools so he started changing his attitude as this crazy mother f+)ker and you better fear me cause thats all I got anymore is intimidation, Holyfield said it best "You cant intimidate, someone who wont be intimidated, its allot of effort and all that emotion and it don’t really mean nothing, when the fights all over... Im the winner"

Give Tyson his credit, you have to include him as in the top 10 of all time, with exciting fights after exciting fights, total domination, becoming the youngest champion ever in the division, he cleaned up an entire era of fighters in a few years and carried boxing on his shoulders for all his career, even long after his skills were shot.

Tyson vs The Combacking foreman - Tyson KO 10 or UD

Tyson vs Young Foreman - Foreman - UD, or TKO late.

  2. Both are great punchers. Whoever land first will win. George has the reach advantage and Mike has the speed advantage.

  3. tyson was a relentless animal...we will never know how long he could go because he knocked everybody out so fast!

  4. I disagree with blogbaba on why Tyson would lose, but not on how he would lose. Tyson is ready made for Foreman as was Frazier another "bum" Foreman knocked out. Of course now to make the old guys cry I could explain how Tyson was a better Frazier and would of KO`ed their hero Ali.

  5. Mike Tyson, he was a great technician. Foreman was a brawler.

  6. If both were in their prime I'd have to say Foreman.  However Ali would have beaten either one.

  7. Foreman was devastating against short guys. Prime Foreman Ko in 5 or six rounds.

  8. George Foreman by KO.

Tyson had difficulty fighting bigger guys whom he couldn't bully,  and Foreman was no ordinary big guy.

  9. Mike Tyson wouldn't have lasted a round, George Forman would beat him today if they fought, and would have destroyed him in their primes.  You insult Big George by making this comparison, they were two different levels of fighter and Mike would be totally out of his league.

George Forman by KO inside of one round.

  10. Tyson would have killed anyone in his prime. END OF STORY!!

  11. Foreman no question. He will knock out the living daylights out of Tyson if they fight. Foreman is hands down the most powerful heavyweight puncher of all time.

  12. Many people immediately think of Forman-Frazier when Tyson comes up.   There are a few things to consider here.  Frazier never took solid punches very well.  Mike certainly has the better chin.  He also punches harder and has better hand speed than Frazier.

Frazier had the edge in stamina and heart.  Those didn't do him any good against Forman.  In fact it worked against him.

Tyson might well have gotten the first hard punch in against Forman.  He would have been pushed and bullied but I could see him scoring a knockdown in a fight against Forman.  The difference is that young Forman, though he wasn't the smartest fighter, had a lot of heart.

Dont believe it?  look at the Ron Lyle fight.  Each scored 2 knockdowns each.  George finally peeled himself off the canvas and finished Lyle.

I could see a Tyson fight going more in the way of the Lyle fight rather than the Frazier fight.   I still see Forman winning this one by KO in the middle rounds.

  13. Tyson - W 50 (KO's 43) TF 58 - W pct 86% - KO pct 74% - wins over Berbick, C. Williams, Holmes, "Bone Crusher" Smith, Spinks, Biggs, P. Thomas, Ruddock{2} and Bruno KO'ed by Holyfield [2], Lewis and Douglas (average fighter) - #16 ranked puncher - #72 ranked fighter

Tyson did not have Frazier's will or heart

    Foreman - W 76 (KO's 68) TF 81 - W pct 94% - KO pct 84% - wins over Chuvalo, Frazier{2}, Lyle and Norton - KO'ed by Ali - #9 ranked puncher - #25 ranked fighter

Won 1968 Gold medal at Hwy wt.

Tyson's style is made for Foreman; Foreman eats alive any one that comes forward. Plus his uppercut would devastate Tyson. Foreman by KO inside of 10 rds.

  14. Foreman by a KO. Mike couldnt intimidate Big George like everyone else he fought.

  15. This one is pretty easy. 42 year old Foreman went 12 rounds tough rounds with (29 yr old) Holyfield. He even staggered Evander at one point. That was 17 years removed from his title reign or his peak.

In 1996 or six years after Mike held the belt, Tyson was knocked out by an older (34yr old) Holyfield.

A young George would destroy him, as all of the greats would have.

You don't have to be a boxing historian to realize this, just use a little bit of common sense & ask yourself "who'd Mike ever beat"? At 24 he was dismantled by the immortal Buster Douglas!

It would just be a matter of weather Mike could make it to the 3rd round. I doubt it!

  16. foreman would do to tyson what he did to frazier.......it wouldn't go 5 rounds.

  17. Tyson wouldnt have a chance.

First, and this is important. Tyson NEVER, EVER fought anyone who hit as hard as Foreman in his prime. Foreman in his prime didnt have to hit you, he could miss and the WIND from the punch would knock you out.

Two, PRIME Foreman was slimmed down from learning to fight fifteen rounds, as opposed to Tyson who never had to do that kind of time during his prime. That equates out to Foreman not only having more power, but also more wind.

Third. Foreman DESTROYED much better opponents that Tyson ever faced. Tysons best opponents always beat him, and I would like to have anyone challenge that.

Foremans power was so strong that when he went into his late years and decided to be a heavyweight, and overweight, champion, he was. Its that simple.

  18. Untouchable- what is it with you and Tyson? What are you missing? He lost to Buster Douglas!!! Buster wasn't that good!

He got a chance to earn back some respect vs Holyfield and got KO'd again!! Then got another shot & bit off his ear!!! Some champ!

    Thumbs up Blog

Young George was everything Tyson dreamed of being. Some of you might be too young to realize how invincible he was considered in 74. He had a better Ko percentage than Tyson while fighting in a better era!

*The guys two guys who beat george were Ali (out foxed him) and Young who was staggered several times but could counter punch.

*Guys that beat Tyson, were guys that wouldn't be intimidated and could make Mike back up!

    Simple Foreman within 5rounds

  19. I think Foreman is the best HW of all time.  A Prime Tyson was awesome, and would beat 99% of the HW's in history.....but not a prime Foreman.  Foreman KO's Tyson in 6

  20. Ill win, *****. I can whoop Foremans a s s. Im Mike Tyson, muthafucka.

  21. Blogbabba at his usual nonsense regarding Tyson, what is it with you about Mike Tyson fella?I don't know if you realize just how ridiculous you appear sometimes ranting on about him, saying Johnson was better than Marciano,Camacho was a hood, and generally unable to take off your very blinkered view of boxing outside the 1970's.Foreman,in my eyes, was a big bull boy and of EXTREMELY limited boxing capability.Tyson would have tamed the Mummy and TYSONS power and speed KO him inside the distance, like about rnd 10.Sorry mate, but try look at just how silly your comments re Tyson appear to us this side of the Atlantic.

  22. Tyson...  round One... K.O.
