Consider the whole world population. Now rank them in terms of average winning success in MMA. Consider the least successful male in the 22nd percentile of that ranking. Now assume that his brain is replaced by one that is guided by an oracle machine. His name is Walter. The goal of Walter is to win in every MMA fight.

His opponent is the current male MMA World Champion. The goal of the current male MMA World Champion is to win in every MMA fight.

Walter and the the current male MMA World Champion fight with standard MMA rules.

Who wins? Give a description of the fighting style of the winner. What kind of predictions do you make? What will the fighting be like? How long will it take for the fight to end?

This is a THEORETICAL problem of game and complexity theory.

Walter knows all game trees and will perform optimal decisions based on feedback; however, he does not have supernatural abilities, such as reading minds.

Consider average values for all parameters not elaborated upon.

  1. Wow..  Regardless of who receives best answer on this one, if any one even answers it, can you please tell me where you came up with this?  Some pretty complex thinking there, compadre..

I say it depends on "Walter's" quickness.  If he can perform his cognitive tasks quickly enough to counter the attacks of the MMA fighter, there's really no way MMA-dude can win.  Every time MMA-dude throws a punch, "Walter" will counter.  Depending on how long the ref allows this to go, "Walter" should win in the first round by KO or ref/corner stoppage.

But then I may not have even understood your question.. Whatever!  Thanks for the interesting question.. LOL.
