  1. KEY THE: #8 ELYSIUM FIELDS and #1 FIERCE WIND

in the tri @ Flordia Dy

Ky Dy= Pryo / Georgie boy

  2. Tomcito

  3. 10 MAJESTIC WARRIOR

Would pay big if he wins. Plus Rene Douglas is riding.

  4. I'm goin for Big Brown. He looks like he knows what he's doing, kinda reminds us of a Curlin, like last year.

My favorite for the Derby is War Pass. But in his next race now, if he doesn't do so well... I think I'm gonna be gettin a lil effy.. cuz the Derby is only about a month away now.

But I also like Visionaire and Pyro.

  5. My guess is Elysium Fields or Big Brown. My trifecta would be 12-8-1. I don't have a favorite for the Kentucky Derby yet.

  6. You must play Elysium Fields in your tri-box.

The mysterious Tomcito is definately a contender... this is his first race of the year and his first attempt in the US so this race will be quite a new experience for him... however, he had 5 starts as a 2 year old with 4 wins and a place... and we know he has the distance since he won as a 2 year old over 10 and 12 furlongs!

I don't know who to use to round out the tri...

. . . Everyone is expecting big things from Big Brown.  He breezes well and has had a couple of wins, but never in a stakes.  He broke his maiden at 8.5 furlongs, so he should have enough to run over 9 furlongs.

. . . I really liked Majestic Warrior last year after his Hopeful win (actually when I saw him in the post parade I picked him because he looked like the fittest horse).  But then he came back in the Louisiana Derby and didn't run a very good race.  I question whether he's actually fit enough to win against stakes horses yet.  Maybe he just needed a tune up race and you can throw out the Louisiana Derby... or maybe he's not the horse he was last year.  I really don't know anymore.

. . . It's hard to ignore Fierce Wind who has already raced over the 9 furlongs and won against graded company last time out... he beat Big Truck who came back to win against Atoned and War Pass in the Tampa Bay Derby.

. . . Smooth Air was 3rd to Fierce Wind and Big Truck last time out.

. . . Hey Byrn has won over 9 furlongs and raced last year against stakes horses.  The thing is, his only wins were in a maiden and 2 allowances... but in 6 starts he's finished out of the money only once which was a 4th last year in the Foolish Pleasure.

. . . Face the Cat has gotten some attention but only has raced in 2 maidens and an allowance and never raced over 8 furlongs.

If you want me to pick only 3, I'd use Elysium Fields, Tomcito, and Fierce Wind.

  7. I favor Tomcito here and LS Cool Gator.. what a good payoff..

.. but My hopes for the Derby is Autism Awareness & Pyro.. it such a wonderful story.. remember April is autism awarness month!

  8. Big Brown has it and the Derby if he's entered. This horse is a freak.

  9. I'm going to go with Majestic Warrior for the upset. I would key him over Fierce Wind, Tomcito and Elysium Fields for the trifecta.

As far as the Kentucky Derby, I won't have any decision until the post positions are drawn.

  10. big brown over bb frank over fierce wind...kty derby winner will be PYRO! GOODLUCK!
