In the 4x100 medley, the swimmers who swim the preliminaries are different than those in the final (ex. Phelps didn't swim in the prelims, but he will swim in the final). I understand that maybe Phelps would be tired if he had to swim in the prelims, but if he wins the final, is that team the only ones who get the medal? Or do the swimmers who did the prelims also get the medal? Switching swimmers after the qualifying rounds doesn't seem fair to those just in the qualifying round. What are your opinions on this and who get the medal?

  1. they said on tv, the perlim swimmers get a medal 2, which is fair.

  2. All swimmers who participated in the relay get medals. Doesn't matter if they swam the preliminary or final, they all get a medal. I think this is fair because they all contributed to the overall success of the team.
