In this particular league, we start 2 team DEF and have 2 flex positions.

I get: L. Maroney (NE) and Tennessee DEF

They get: D. McFadden (OAK) and Seattle DEF

My other defense is New England, and they have the same bye week as Seattle, so I was trying to get a decent defense in return for Seattle to fix the bye week problem. Also, Maroney would replace McFadden in one of my flex positions.

But when reviewing this trade, please base your opinions on this year's projected stats and value only.

So who wins this trade and why? Best answer gets 11+ points.

  1. I think to really base an answer on project points alone is an answer that anyone can add up and get the same answer. In my opinion i think that giving up mcfadden is a big risk, the raiders are goin to be a solid running team with a young quarter back in Jamacus Russel. You are in good shape with the new england defence, the offence will be on the feild alot limiting the defensive team on the feild.

  2. I think that they win.  McFadden is on a weak passing team therefore will get a lot of carries.  Maroney is on a strong passing team that has both Welker and Moss.  Maroney probably won't get many carries.  You shouldn't make the trade.

    BK

  3. do it maroney will be a good replacement for McFadden and also McFadden might not get the no.1 role with fargas there and Tennessee is going to do great this season

  4. You Win, slightly. Reports are that Darren McFadden has been very impressive at Training Camp, and I think Justin Fargas isn't too hard of competition for him.Laurence Maroney will probably be getting more attempts this year, but he's gonna have to make the most of them and really make up for last year.  As for the Defenses, I think Tennessee has a slightly better overall defense, considering the strong D-Line. Seattle's defense isn't terrible, but Tennessee's is certainly an upgrade from it.

  5. I would keep McFadden if I were you. McFadden has tremendous upside, while Maroney will always be held down by the fact that most of New England's offense runs out of the shotgun.  The only way I would make this trade is if Brady's leg injury is worse than it is expected to be and he misses significant time. That would make Maroney a legitimate top 15 back. But for now, don't make this trade. Also, you will be downgrading your defense, because Seattle plays in such an easy division. They get 6 games a year against absolutely terrible teams (49ers, Rams, Cardinals). Don't do it!

  6. You win. Maroney is already proven himself AND mcfadden is going to share starts with justin fargas, who was already named the #1 rb for them

New England will have a great defense this year and if you could get someone like..philly outta free agency that would be great. NE got alot of Rb's this year but they're not gonna do anything. Jordan will be a backup but Maroney will probably get 80+ yards a game. Not to mention a few TDs.

Brady will NOT be able to be as good as he was last year. NO where close to it. They will probably go to more running when the passing game fails plus if Brady gets injured again like in preseason they're passing game is about as good as michael vick right now.

You win. McFadden won't start, Maroney will get more carries, and you can always get another defense. maybe even cleveland?

  7. No one can tell for sure because D. McFadden is a rookie.  Patriots are a passing team, but with Brady's recent injuries they might take pressure of him and run Maroney more.  He is for sure an X factor the Patriots and will get many TDs because Brady can get the Patriots good field position virtually every drive.  I think you win because running backs are more important than defenses.

  8. This is hard lol.

I say they win. L. Maroney is not gonna have big year simply Brady and moss, also Pats got that Lamont Jordon guy now he probably take away 2 to 3 TD from Maroney. Tennessee def is okay.

Now McFadden is a different story he got lots of upside man i also got him because i believe and many ppl also believe he will have a great year. see him in practice you know he is gonna be good.J. Russel needs McFadden as its JR's first start.  Raiders loves to RUN THE BALL.

    so McFadden> Maroney.

the 2 defenses i say are kind of tied, both not that good.

i dont see why u drafted Pats D, they got no DBs.

but Pats got a great coach so you okay.
