  1. obviously player #2  he just has the Q kicker

  2. Player 2 wins has pair of Jacks and high card (Queen)

  3. I'll assume the hand went to showdown ( remember that "player X" with 2-3 offsuit can win the hand by betting, if player 1/2/3 fold ).

Player 2 wins the hand, with better kicker.

A poker hand always has 5 cards.

    Here's what they have

Player 1 : Pair of jacks, A-10-9 kicker

Player 2 : Pair of jacks, A-Q-10 kicker

Player 3 : Pair of jacks, A-10-8 kicker

Player 2 has the best kicker.

  4. Player two wins the hand.  Remember in Holdem it is the 5 best cards.  Knowing what beats what in poker is essential to understanding poker strategy.  You might want to visit Learn to Win Holdem.com and view their "What beats what in Poker".

  5. If all the players are pretty good, the winner will be the one that makes a sizable bet first.  Every player only has second pair, with a big scary ace on the board.  No one should be in love with their hand.  So a little aggression would win the pot.

Now if this is a table of inexperienced players, I'd do my best to check it to the river because it's pretty tough to bet a weak player out of a pot if he has ANYTHING.

  6. Player 2

  7. player 3.....he incorrectly on purpose claimed a straight...after five hands of play he knew player 1 and 2 were stupid...that's why they were chasing ...by the time they realized player 3 did not have the best hand  (  someone else not in the hand pointed this out)  they had already tossed their cards over to the dealer and they touched the muck pile.  those are the rules!!!!
