Who wins this bet?

A bet has been made here's the bet. "I bet it will snow in five minutes!" The bet is made at 5:47pm. Neither person pays too much attention and at 5:55pm a person yells out it's snowing!! Who wins?

Since the bet is that it will snow in 5 minutes, which is 5:52, the fact that it's snowing at 5:55 is irrelevant.  However, there may be ways to find out who won. It's possible the local weather station keeps records of the exact times it starts and stops snowing.  Not sure what snow bets have to do with horse racing, but good luck anyway.

I'd call it off... no money changes hands.  If you really cared about the bet you'd be watching the clock and waiting for the snow.  clearly these people didn't care.

I understand there's betting in horse racing, but this question is really unrelated to this category.

its simple really you lose as its 8 minutes since you made the bet now im no expert at maths but i think 8 is more than 5 . i dont see what the problem is you lose its that simple . now pay up
