  1. As a starter, Joe Montana. Young was a back-up in at least one of Montana's Super Bowl wins.

  2. Joe Montana won four Super Bowls in 1981 against the Cincinnati Bengals, 1984 against the Miami Dolphins where everyone was going gaga over Dan Marino because he broke the single season touchdown record and Joe Cool blew Marino and the Dolphins out of the water, 1988 with Cincinati where they nearly lost the game and last 90 seconds of the game Joe Cool made a miraculous comeback and he was so cool in that game that in the huddle he told the offensive line that Joe Candy was in the stands, and 1989 Joe and the Niners blew the Broncos out of the water again. The latter Young came in and did cleanup stuff because the game was in the bag. Actually the game was in the bag at halftime.

Young only won one Super Bowl and that in the 1994 season with the Chargers. They blew the Chargers out of the water to a point Steve broke the touchdown record in that game by throwing 7 touchdown passes.

Out of the five the Niners won the 1988 and 1984 Super Bowl were the best ones.

Note that the Niners were the only team that went to the Super Bowl five times and won them all plus the first team to win five Super Bowls.

  3. joe montana -4x Super Bowl champion (XVI, XIX, XXIII, XXIV)

steve young -3x Super Bowl champion (XXIII, XXIV, XXIX)
