On September 29th 2007 Geelong beat Port Adelaide By 119 points. The end margin was 119 points, the biggest margin in AFL Grand Final History. The victory ended Geelong's 44 year premiership drought. The final score was 24.19-163 to 6.8-44. Mooney kicked 5 Goals, and just for the record Steve Johnson won the norm smith medal for best on ground.

Collingwood haven't won a Grand Final since 1990. It was Geelong. Also Geelong aren't as good any more... They were thrashed by Collingwood by 86 points in round 9.

How can it be Collingwood, considering it was Geelong and Port Adelaide, that played in the Grand Final.  Which the Geelong Cats, easily won.  That is why the Geelong Cats are the Premiers

It was Geelong.  Collingwood were sadly (sense the sarcasm) only five points away from winning the 2007 Grand Final because had they have made it they would have almost certainly have beat Port Adelaide.

Geelong played Collingwood in the Preliminary Final and played a great game, put up a fantastic fight and would probably have been the better team on the night, but Geelong were just such a great side last year that even though they didn't play their best footy, they were still good enough to get across the line to win by five points and then go on to beat Port Adelaide the following Saturday by 144 points.

Well no.  In a close tussle, Geelong overcame the might of Port Adelaide by a little more than a goal (every three seconds)

Collingwood didn't get the chance to lose another Grand Final because they were unable to make the most of favourable umpiring decisions in the Preliminary Final that would have given them a surprise victory over Geelong.

Some of their supporters have taken heart from winning another game that doesn't really matter this year.  You WOULD think they would learn, but sadly they just keep hoping :-))))))
