Playing the trickier East course of the Royal Johannesburg and Kensington club, the South African ended with a birdie on the final hole, finishing 23-under, six strokes ahead of fellow countryman Keith Horne and Northern Ireland's Darren Clarke, both of whom finished on 17-under.
