What was it's number? We didn't get to see the race, and don't know the details.

  1. Big Brown won. Not sure of the number, but it was a big bay.

Eight Bells, the filly went down and broke two ankles. She had to be put down.

I think its disgusting how barbaric people can be though. People just sit with their money and their stupid fluffy hats with bouncing sh*t coming out of the top and dont realize what the horses are being put through! I didnt make it to the television in time but when i found out this morning i was heartbroken. Its so sad how people put young horses in like that for MONEY. Its really depressing. I would be so mordified if my favorite horse on this planet was put into a big shindig like that and had to be put down for breaking to ankles.

    I'll pray for Eight Bells.

  2. Big Brown...I don't know what # but Eight Belles, the only filly, broke her 2 front ankles shortly after passing the finish line and coming in 2nd place behind Big Brown....She had to be put down a few minutes later on the track

  3. Big Brown, #20 won with daylight...

  4. Win: Big Brown (by four lengths)

Place: Eight Belles (may she Rest In Peace):

Show: Denis of Cork (quite a surprise)

  5. Big Brown

  6. The favorite "big brown" won. His odds were 5/2 at start time. He was #20 and he has 4 starts and 4 wins. Can you say triple crown? He won by a good margin, but not exactly a blowout. He came from behind towards the end, like most winners do. He started from the outside rail. The other big story was the only filly (female horse) in the race ( first one in ten years ) Eight Belles came in 2nd place and broke both front legs immediately after the race and had to be put down right there on the track, it was sad.

  7. Big Brown, and he was at the outside, so he was probably 19 or 20 as there were 20 in the field, but I can't remember if he was the last one in the gates or not.

  8. r.i.p. eight belles

  9. Not the donkey, I bet $25.00 on to win (Colonel John), Big Brown #20.
