ROW-DEEEEE!!! he dominated, leading well over half the laps, and won his third truck series race in 11 starts. that win put him in victory lane for the 17th time across all three series for the year, again setting a new record for most wins across all series (harvick had 14 in the cup and busch series in 2006). he also became only the third driver - along with mark martin and carl edwards - to win in all three series at bristol.

"jim johnson" as he was known for this race (he had "jim" put above his door, so that's what the commentators called him throughout the race), did well while he ran. no one expected him to win his first truck race, especially at bristol, but he made a respectable showing. for a good long time there he, rowdy, and the onion battled for first for many laps with a lot of very clean racing - especially for the truck series and bristol. he only lost it after a mighty battle that he nearly pulled off, fishtailing all the way down a straightaway before finally turning around and being hit. that was a show.

and congrats to bodine for a strong second, scott speed for yet another top 5 (he finished third), and to johnny benson who came oh-so-close to setting a new truck series record of four consecutive wins.
