Mayweather.

Shouldn't even have been a split decision, although de la Hoya fought well. De la Hoya started out a little too clumsily, but found a working formula and won the middle rounds in my book. After round 8, though, Oscar seemed to forget what he was doing so well the last few rounds, and lost. Mayweather's precision was outstanding.

Anyone who says de la Hoya was robbed either doesn't know anything about boxing or is just so much in love with him that they're unable to see a fight for what it is.

Floyd Mayweather, Jr. won their first fight in May of 2007 by split decision with scores of 116-112, 115-113, and 113-115.  They will fight a rematch on September 20th of this year because Oscar De La Hoya recently won his tuneup fight against Steve Forbes.

Mayweather was considered a two to one favorite in the fight.

The fight finally took place on May 5, 2007. De La Hoya is currently in the works for a rematch with Mayweather to take place on September 20, 2008, in Las Vegas. Before that, On May 3, 2008, at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California, De La Hoya fought Steve Forbes in a "tuneup" bout. De La Hoya was simply too fast, too strong, and too skilled as he won almost every round, compiling a 119-109, 119-109, and 120-108 victory on the scorecards over the outclassed Forbes.

The Judges chose Floyd Mayweather but I feel Oscar De La Hoya was robbed. At the time Oscar De La Hoya was the Champ. I order to beat a champ you need to win decisively Mayweather didn't. Oscar should have kept his belt.
