  1. Once again it was another hotly contested fight between Pacquiao and Marquez. It could have gone either ways, but if you watched the fight closely Marquez should have won that bout. He landed significantly more punches, and connected more power punches than Pacquiao. But it seems that the knockdown by Pacquiao of Marquez left an indelible impression on the judges. I'm a big Pacquiao fan, but he wasn't in his top form during that fight. He was too cautious and wasn't technical enough, unlike his fight against David Diaz. Marquez should have kept his belt.

  2. I think it could of gone either way, I personally favored Marquez, but I'm not mad they gave it to Pacquiao.  Funny how  Pacquiao got out of that division immediatly afterwards.  I'm hope to see them fight again.  Says a lot that Marquez followed him.  He felt he won and I think eventually he will prove it.

  3. Pacquiao close points win

  4. Pacquiao won.

  5. Pacquiao. Marquez needs to learn how to accept defeat though.

  6. On 3/15/2008, Manny Pacquiao defeated Juan Manuel Marquez by split decision with scores of 115-112, 114-113, and 112-115 to win the super featherweight championship of the world.  It was a close fight that could have gone either way, but the knockdown that Pacquiao scored is what turned out to be the determining factor in the fight- if he hadn't knocked Marquez down, then the fight would have been a draw.  Since then, Pacquiao moved up to lightweight and beat David Diaz for a title and Marquez is moving up to lightweight in his next fight as well; he'll be challenging the linear champion Joel Casamayor in September.  Maybe if Marquez is successful against Casamayor, he'll get a third fight with Pacquiao.
