Wales won it in blistering style. They played a stunning defensive game with breakout in attack. They won the game with 30% posession, amazing really.

Wales decided to play the old Ali 'rope a dope' tactic, whereby they didn't contest at the ruck beyond the tackler. This resulted in a solid red wall in front of France that they simply could not break through.

Theresult was that wales won the tournament, they beat France by a wider margin than expected, which pushed England up into second place.

Wales also set a record in this tournament as in the whole 5 games they conceeded only 2 tries, AMAZING defense. Added to this their superior fitness which the stats prove.  

In their five matches in this championship, they scored 41 points in the first half, against the 42 scored by their five opponents; in the second half, they scored 107 against the oppositions’ 24. That means that they simply wore the opposition down, and let loose in the second half.

I am a proud welshman, and we now prepare to play South Africa twice in June on tour.
