France won the tournement however if Ronan O'gara had Kicked like we know he can instead of like a mule like he did, then Ireland would have won it.

On the final Saturday of the tournament, either France, Ireland or England could have won depending on the how much they won their matches by.  England lost!! Ireland won and the French match was decided on a try in the last few minutes by an Irish referee!! He awarded France the try and the championship

France were cruising late into the game against Scotland until Scottish player Murray scored, meaning Ireland went top again on points difference. Then just when it looked all over  French flanker Vermeulen, scored deep into injury time meaning France overtook Ireland to go top. When England then failed to beat Wales by a ridiculously large margin France were crowned champions again.

France after being gifted a try in the dying seconds and helped along by Ireland letting Italy score a try in the dying second of their game. Thus leading to Les Bleus winning on points difference. Harsh way to lose for Ireland and hopefully they have learnt their lesson but you have to keep going for the full 80 and not relax one bit.

Shame really I thought they deserved it this year and were the best team in the competition. But two late trys due to possible lack of concentration in dying seconds - one to France and one to Italy.
