Who works for the baby before the dr comes in?

what is the person called.. that works with a baby dr... and they check the babies weight, blood pressure and things before the dr comes in? I am going to try to go to college for that

That would be a nurse.  What kind of nurse would depend on the doctor's office -- could be LPN, or RN, but it could just be a CNA or office assistant.  Weight, blood pressure, temperature, measuring, and writing things in the chart aren't very "involved" and anyone can be taught to do that.
