  1. It's the way the game is at the moment.  Professional rugby has bought about a situation where a player has to commit a lot more to the game.  At the top level he's a full time athlete so that's his profession.  It's not surprising that players now look at their longevity and now make decisions based on money.

However for the southern hemisphere guys the big money is in the North. So that's where most of them go.  I am not sure that this is good for rugby in the long run.  The imports are taking the top positions and the locals are not getting a look in, and therefore are not getting the experience of top level rugby.  In the long term that has to hurt the national teams like England & France.

  2. Pray for the answer to come to you from a higher source.

  3. Its too professional, commercialised these days. Carter, all good NZ players going overseas. I think we should revert to the good old days of Sean Fitzpatrick and Zinzan brooke. Where the core group would stay together for a long time. But in 1996 when NZ rugby was the cream of the crop, Frank Bunce, Christian Cullen, Jonah Lomu, Jeff Wilson. Mighty forwards zinzan, sean, michael jones. All those guys. Rotation is highly debatable. Thats why we never win the world cup.
