  3. I think that would be impossible, let's take the British line of succession for an example, there are currently more than 1,000 members (royal and no-royal) people on that list. Let's say, if Queen Elizabeth II and her entire family was wiped out, there are still other royal members from most European countries, who could legally claim the British throne. Why is that so? It's simple. As a great-great-granddaughter of Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth II is related to the heads of most other reigning and non-reigning European royal houses. Through her great-grandmother Queen Alexandra, she is descended from the Danish royal house of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg... a line of the North German house of Oldenburg, one of the oldest in Europe. (Other members of the House of Glücksburg include Elizabeth's husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh as well as Margrethe II of Denmark, Harald V of Norway, Queen Sofia of Spain and former King Constantine II of Greece — each of whom is also descended from Queen Victoria.) Elizabeth is likewise descendant of Johan Willem Friso, Prince of Orange (1687 – 1711), who is a common ancestor to all reigning European royal houses. In other words, every European royal member is related to one another, so Elizabeth II is also in line of succession to the Danish throne or Swedish throne and so forth.

If you want to know which European Kings, Queens, Princes, Princesses, Dukes and Duchess etc are currently listed in the British line of succession visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_lin...

  4. Ralph.

  5. Me.  I would be King Mo.

  6. as noted above, it is highly unlikely (and uncommon) when a royal family line collapses.

There are often cousins and obscure relatives who can assume the throne.

Although in Britain, the last time it happened we had to stretch to part of the German royal family as a line of heritage.

  7. If in the unlikely hood that the current Royal Family were completely wiped out, the Historians would do a search of family lines and trace someone who could become King/Q.ueen. Watch King Ralph for reference

Highly unlikley though as most of the Royal Families in Europe are related and there would be someone in a Royal Family ready to step in

  8. i dunno..

  9. they'd import one from another country.

  10. There is /always/ someone left. The line of succession is well defined to over 1000 people. If all the British members of the royal family died out, the crown would pass to the Norwegian royal family (who are quite interesting in themselves - some of the grandchildren of King Harald are Brazilian citizens), then the Romanian royal family, then the Yugoslav royal family, then to more obscure places...
