It is important to have good role models in your life, no matter what your age. But there seem to be so few real "heros" around these days. And when I say hero, I don't necessarily mean a military hero as we have many of those. I mean individuals who have a life story where they overcame incredible diversity and went out and accomplished incredible things.

It would be helpful if this person had a biography written about them so one could study just exactly what they went through and how they found their success. The role model does not have to be alive presently and can be from any past generation but hopefully not so distant that one cannot relate to the world they lived in.

  1. The kind of people that inspire me, are those who are at the top of their game, but it has not gone to their head.

Also, I hate to correct anyone- believe you me- but emulate is not a good word.

It means that you desire superiority over someone.

  2. His Holiness the Dalai Lama

    Mother Theresa

    Pope John Paul II

    Martin Luther King Jr.

    Ghandi

  3. President Kennedy. Because folks had a right to know Marilyn Monroe was standing in The White House.
