  1. In the professional era it would have to be Jonah Lomu just ask most players and they'll agree what he did for the sport in terms of taking it global and into the professional era cannot be beaten he truly is the first superstar of rugby

Amateur era I believe it would be David Campese his array of skills was amazing and his ability to turn a game on it's head was just as amazing

  2. me

  3. Geoff Wilson had everything good defence and a great offence.

  4. Greatest Winger ever... wow, you'd have to have everything to take that title... Speed, Defence, Catching Bombs, Cover Defence, Positioning... everything.

The defence part would instantly count out Jonah Lomu, David Campese and John Kirwan... all sensational on attack but my mother could get passed them on defence.

I cant think of anyone during my lifetime that stands out in the southern hemisphere... there are some greats but "best ever" is a pretty elite title.  If you throw Fullbacks into the equation, I'd probably go with Serge Blanco.  Didnt see a whole lot of him but what I did, he was amazing and unbelievably calm under ANY pressure.

  5. in my opinion the greatest wingers to have graced the game are jonah lomu and bryan habana. Habanas blistering pace and ability to score out of nothing and lomus power was just unstoppable

  6. The greatest? A few really great wingers come to mind. Hennie van Zyl, Ray Mordt, Tony O'Riley, Brian Williams, Carel du Plessis, Carling.
