Who would be your famous hero who is long dead? ?

so i have this homework assignment about my heros. one including a person in the 1400-1800 time frame. [such as geroge washington] but i was thinking.. i dont know very many famous people in that time frame.. so my question is who is a very unique/interesting person from which you dont here a lot about between the time frame of 1400-1800??

  1. Leonardo da Vinci, April 15, 1452 – May 2, 1519) He was so far ahead of his time when it came to his intellect and talent he has come to represent the entire Renaissance. He was so much like modern thinkers.  He was an Italian polymath, having been a scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, painter, sculptor, architect, botanist, musician and writer.  Although illegitimate and probably homosexual he non the less was almost like a freak of nature as compared to the average human intellect of that period.

    of "Wounded Knee" fame

    brave, stood up for truth and justice, and simply thought it was fair to defend his land and his people's ways and right to life.  He was considered an arch enemy of the United States at the time,  but its the same thing that the United States is doing now with Homeland Defence and national security.  Sitting Bull was right and brave to do what he did, and not bow down to the murderous invaders.

    Roland defended their country from Roman invasions, prevented Romans imposing their rule and making everyone second class citizens except themselves, prevented people getting taken for slaves in the Roman Empire and taxes for Rome.  

    Check  Bremen Germany, there is a statue that still stands after hundreds of years, The Roland in Wedel statue was erected in 1450 in Bremen, and is now a united nations world heritage site.

  4. My hero is Leonidas, but he was from long before that time frame. In said frame, I would have to say probably a Scottish jacobite rebel.

  6. You could do Magellan or Amerigo Vespucci. Both famous explorers. You could try Cortes or one of the other Spanish conquistadors.
