  1. No, you should not get charged, unless phones work differently in California than they do in Ohio.

She is the only one who could possibly be charged, and therefore, in the event of free long distance for her, nobody would get charged.

But the best way to be sure is to check with your phone company.

  2. nope. u wont get charged.. if she initiated the call

  3. no if she calls u the charge goes 2 her er not if its free weekends

  4. No, you wouldn't get charged. Most phone providers (land lines) charge for long distance calls made not received.

  5. If she has free long distance, technically neither one of you gets charged.  And some long distance plans, T-Mobile for example, have fave lists so that even if you call her from your landline phone, she won't be charged either.  Do keep in mind, though, that if you call her, she'll be charged.  Lots of times that's where cell phone companies get you!

  6. No. However some cell phone co.s do charge the one being called, if the incoming call comes from a cell phone on a different service. For example, a Verizon customer can make a free LD call to another Verizon customer that also is not charged, but if a Sprint customer calls a Verizon customer long distance, Verizon will charge the receiving phone, though the charge is generally not very much.
