  1. ali will outscore tyson easy hes too quick for him. mikes just got the punches to knock you out in an instent.

  2. as often as this question is asked, i will always pick ali to stop tyson by the 10th round after wearing him out.

  3. Ali wins. Watch the old videos and think carefully about what you're seeing.

Ali has faster hands and smoother footwork. Tyson has slower hands but faster head movement. Tyson can knockout people with both hands but Ali can knockout people while walking backwards.

Tyson is psychologically inferior to Ali and would easily get angered and off-rhythm by his verbal attacks. Tyson although fast, still has trouble getting in against boxers with long jabs.

Ali is always tough mentally. Even when he's losing a fight, he can somehow manage to break his opponent' s rhythm and offer something in hopes to change the tide. In Mike Tyson's losses, he was clearly doing the same thing over and over in hopes of winning a losing battle. Against Holyfield and Lewis, Tyson ran out of ideas and just fell apart mentally. You can blame bad training but on the other hand, you could see the frustration in Tyson's eyes. Even if you're out of shape, he should have at least been able to win a few rounds from Lewis, right?

In the end, I can see Ali winning the potshot contest all night long. Tyson's combos will be either too short, too close, or just plain ineffective. Ali can throw combos but he can also win by throwing one punch at a time. Tyson loves to expend energy and launch nothing but knockout punches one after another. The more angry Ali makes Tyson get, the higher the chances of Ali winning easily.

  4. Ali would have gave Tyson a Boxing Lesson just like Holyfield gave Tyson a Boxing Lesson , eventually Ali would have ko'd Tyson no problem.

  5. Tyson. When it comes to boxing, crazy beats awesome

  6. Ali , he is more polished, and since tyson is a coming foward fighter  Ali is a good puncher while retreating , and would catch tyson with a good left hook or uppercut

  7. Ali you cant heat what you cant see

  8. This question never gets old lol,but this is how it would probably turn out,in his prime Ali relied on speed and foot work to beat his opponents even though he had a lot of knock out power, Tyson relied on power and accuracy getting inside and unleashing devastating uppercuts and body shots until he got the chance to punch the h**l out of his opponent's skull. Tyson probably had more knock out power but Ali was a lot smarter, as always Tyson would start the fight as the aggressor and attack Ali immediately forcing Ali to retreat while dodging Tyson's punches, for some reason Ali always had trouble with aggressive in fighters, he could handle people like Liston and Shavers but always found it difficult against the stubborn in fighters (like Joe Frazier) and this weakness would show in this fight, Ali liked to control the pace of the fight from the outside and tyson was never the kind of boxer that you could keep away for long periods of time, his peek a boo style was a lot faster and better than frazier's (Frazier usually moved up and down to dodge while tyson moved side ways most of the time) and Tyson's stocky body made his peek a boo all the more effective, he would have given Ali h**l for the first few rounds probably score a knock down early in the rounds......BUT.....Ali was no ordinary boxer, the toughness of his chin was surpassed only by his willingness to win and this is what would make the difference in this fight, Tyson was a boxer who was used to winning,he never handled frustration well and when a fight didn't go his way he always got impatient and looked for the knock out punch, Ali on the other hand was very patient and usually wore his opponents out while waiting for a clean opening to land some serious punches towards the 5th round Tyson would get frustrated and begin a vicious assault on Ali (A la jack Dempsey) hoping to catch him with an uppercut or a strong right jab (ironically this was his favorite punch but rarely won fights with it) Ali would constantly move around avoiding Mike's most dangerous hits with his amazing relfexes (in his prime Ali's reflexes were not human I have a video on youtube were he dodges a series of strong jabs just by moving his head as if he was seeing the punches come in slow motion......seriously.....just like neo in the matrix) eventually Mike would wear out and just as he brings his hands back to rest Ali would land a quick combination on Mike's jaw, that would rock him tremendously.mike tyson.would be startled by this and he will get intimidated....something he is not used to and this is when Ali would start playing his mind games,Mike would try and play it smart with Ali (bad move) and keep chasing him around but by then Ali would have figured him out and simply keep him at bay with the jabs while occasionally mounting a convincing counter offense.....this fight would probably end in a draw (not likely though) or a split decision victory for Ali ( Tyson would have thrown the most punches, and would have been the aggressive fighter but Ali would have landed more clean shots and won most of the later rounds .....similar to how Mayweather wins a lot of his fights moreover in his prime Tyson was an extremely hard boxer to knock out i doubt that Ali would have been able to do it) it would be an interesting match because both boxers knew how to put up a great fight.

  9. in their primes, ali was ali as everyone knows, but the reason frazier was able to beat him was because of that relentless head movement, getting inside and firing hooks. although a lot of what tyson was was based on fear, people don't give him credit for his incredible defense. it's what lead to his rise and in absence of it lead to his fall. what tyson had over frazier was speed and i think that would have given ali a run for his money. tyson doesn't rank high because, including quality of opponent, he was a mess that didnt last long. ali was amazing but people treat him like he was mystical or something. remember even ghandi beat his wife. ali was amazing but not unbeatable.

  10. if anybody says that Ali would win, its because of respect, you cant compare athletes of the 60s with athletes of the 90s, Tyson will demolish Ali, Tysons has a chin and hands of stone, Ali was so great because there wasnt many good heavyweight in his era, theres many people that would beat Ali

  11. How many times do we have to DO this?  This question should be banned from the site.   It pops up EVERY 2-3 Weeks.

Look at my other questions and you will see the same answer a few times.   I'm not doing this one anymore.

I'll give you the ending.  Look up the fight, as I call it,  under my answers. One of  ALI's Greatest Strengths is Tyson's greatest weaknesses.  ALI is a MASTER of mental warfare.  Tyson's a VERY weak minded, Fragile man.  For all his exterior power Mike becomes unrattled very easily.  ALI would have he fight won before the first bell.

    Go do some homework.

    ALI TKO 11

  12. Ali- Top 3 all-time

    Tyson - top 25 all-time
