That would be horrible! Torre can't manage and the Yankees can't win without outspending every other team in the majors by 60 to 190 million $$$$$$$$$$$$$. I doubt that I would even turn on the T.V.

that'd be something for the ages,two of baseball's most storied and decorated franchises facing off...plus Joe Torre has managed the Yanks to multiple postseason appearances,now a year later he is managing the Dodgers facing his former team in the fall classic. That'd be way better than another subway series.

Were I to take all 224 possible AL-NL matchups for the 2008 World Series and ranked them by preference, I would have Dodgers-Yankees at #225, right after "canceled due to players strike".

The Dodgers and Yankees have clogged the World Series, facing each other, eleven times. That's more than enough, even if the last one was 27 years ago. Other teams deserve it more. I'm in no rush to watch the 12th chapter of this frankly uninteresting rivalry.
