Who would like to see Notre Dame join a conference ? And so, which one you feel they'll join?

Personally it wont happen for a while. But their tv contract wont last forever, so which conference will they join? Hmmmm, Big 10 sounds nice giving them 12 teams and all but it takes away what ND enjoys most and thats what is called footprints. They feel joining a regional conference such as the big 10 would hurt recruiting big time. Good fit if you ask me. But when that day does come, I feel they'll pull the upset and join the Big East. This will give the big east its ninth team and then they'll most likley go after another Florida program in UCF. After that happens the Big East will break up into two conferences. Teams involved in all sports including football as the new Big East and those that do not have football will become a new conference.

Lets see the New Big East : West Virginia,Pittsburgh,Rutgers,S.Florida,Lo... Notre Dame. Well your opinion when this day does come?

I don't think it will ever happen...they almost joined the Big 10 in 98 or something, but that fell through

TV money, bowl money = money that they receive, if part of a conference, they share with the entire conference = BIG TIME revenue cut

overall I think that Notre Dame fits best with the Big 10, they already play Michigan, Michigan State, and Purdue every year and plus they bring a great academic presence

First it will never happen. Teams join a conference for TV time,money, recruits. Tell me one of those ND needs..........NONE! NBC will never drop them because of ratings. ND pulls more viewers then any other school. Weather it is a ND fan cheering them on or a ND hater that does not understand tradition. But, IF they do then it would be the Big East. ALL of the other ND sports are in the Big East. BTW losing season and NBC extends the contract does that tell u anything?

could be big ten...but i think that the big east joinning is more likely....it also sounds better too when you put it that way.it makes the big east sound at almost competitive huh?

Bring the fighting Irish to the Big East its a conference with unlimeted potental and several legit bcs teams.
