  1. I would.

  2. I would love to join this protest but then I wouldn't have any fish : ( As much as I hate it Walmart is the only place for me to get my fish from, and they actually do a mildly okay job at my walmart!

But it goes beyond the fish I hate to say...think of all the poor people that would lose their jobs...maybe you should protest that walmart require their associates to get more training on fish care. Or like a prior poster wrote more employees so the fish aren't so neglected!

  3. what's up with wal-mart and fish??

  4. The only u will ever get wal-mart to quit selling fish is for people to stop buying.  If they don't show a profit they will quit selling fish , that is why some wal-marts don't sell fish.  So if u want something done about it don't buy from them.

  5. i might their, tanks are way to crowded, where do you live?

  6. Good luck with that wal-mart is a very big corperation and america depends on it and so do 15 other countries.

  7. I WOULD!!!!!!!!!!!!! THOSE POOR BETTAS!!!!! The bettas at the walmart I go to always look sick and dirty in their little cups!

And the tanks look so over crowded!

  8. why would you want to do that?????? i think fish are a nice pet for first time pet owners and they are fun to watch and put people who are stressed out in a mood of relaxation.that is why a lot of doctors office now have aquariums in their waiting rooms to put nervous people in a more relaxed state of mind.the fish at wal-mart are always in a clean inviroment and a lot of people buy from them because they are cheaper and all the accesories you may need in one store.

  9. I used to agree and say yes but both my husband and I have commented on how nice the tanks have looked at walmart over the last 4 months where we live.  I still have not bought any fish from them, but I am willing to as the tanks are always clean the fish are healthy and swimming nicely.  I go to petsmart and petco regularly and I can not always say that about their tanks as I have seen ICK, fin Rot, and dead fish many times at both stores.  I think it depends on who is working in the store.

I commented to an employee a few months ago about putting plecos in with the goldfish (I saw it taking the slime coat off a fish at the time) ever since then I have not seen one pleco in any goldfish tank.....not true for pet smart though (Which i absolutely love to shop at).  It depends on the workers not the corperation.

  10. First I'd like to have a ban put on selling tanks that are less than 5 gallons especially with pictures of goldfish on the boxes.  Not all Walmarts have bad fish.

  11. I would all my fish died from them, exept carly the beta

  12. I WOULD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The tanks are way to crouded. They all die really quickly!

  13. MEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

ALL MY FISH DIED FROM THAT PLACE BUT THE ONE I GOT AT PETCO

  14. I would have to disagree with your "accusation".

Though there ARE many Wal-mart's out there that neglect their live fish, there are also many out there that take care of the fish.

Go around and visit different Wal-mart's across your state if you don't believe me.

It's all based around the number of workers that are employed at Wal-Mart. As you may have noticed, there is hardly EVER any workers back there; hence comes the neglected fish.

So, if you would like to improve this status (the poor quality of the fish and their aquariums), how about setting yourself up for a job there?

They have been getting MANY complaints over the years, and have since then, they have been improving as well. At least that's what the 10-15 Wal-marts have been doing in Charlotte.

So, you would have to count me out in this protest you are organizing!

    Best regards,

  15. I don't think Wal mart should be allowed to sell ANY live animal. However if they could still sell pet products, that would be fine. I am in on the protest if you'd like....the walmart closest to me does not sell fish thank god!!!!
