  1. Well now that Sonny Bill is one of the highest paid Rugby players in the world at present and its obvious he has an extremly vast knowledge of the game with his many years in the  playing union, maybe he could take over the reigns if GH was to lose them ..... NOT !!!!!!

  2. Silly question. He won't get fired or be made to stand down. He's won more games than he's lost...Aussie and SAF are 2 of the worlds best teams...you're not gonna beat them all the time.

Shame on everybody who fails to support the AB's regardless of how they perform or what the outcome of their game is.

  3. What kind of question is this? I do agree this is a premature question. Coaches and players do bad job because of people like this.

Few errors are acknowledge more than the good this  man and players done for New Zealand rugby.

People learn a lot more from their errors than not making mistake at all and have no one to compare your strength with.

Anyway ask a better and constructive question next time.

  4. no one else the man he is coaching Aussie now ROBBIE DEAN

  5. The NZRU totally missed the  mark with reappointing GH.

Was it he who said judge me on my world cup results.... ok, worst ever. sack him. all the other coaches that lost world cups were sacked, and they even made it to the semi's.

So he was then reappointed??? when we had robbie deans being hunted by the ozzies and who was the next obvious AB coach. I mean they knew he would go to ozzie but they thought 2 years of GH was better than a new direction.

There is no solution in GH stood down, the super 14 coaches at present are not upto scratch to coach the AB's so we have to hope robbie uses sonny bills manager and bails mid way thru his contract to lead us to the RWC. if not we will have our backs up against the wall to win...even at home.

I think the NZRFU should fall on its sword and we should blame them for not going with the people's coach, robbie!

  6. Sacking GH? What sort of message would that send to the rugby community after he has only just been re-appointed?  I think NZRU have to tough this one out, they made the decision and have to stick by it. Mind you the appointment is only for two years.

  7. Graham Henry will not be sacked or stood  down there is not a better coach  at this level   It;s not the coach the players did not play well in Sydney you just wait till sat night  a few critics will  eat there words

  8. There are no obvious contenders for the position in New Zealand at the moment.

The best NZ coaches have taken their skills offshore and they are contracted for some time.

If we look at foreign coaches then Jake White, Eddie Jones and other experienced coaches are available, but I don't think they will be considered.

That leaves us with a choice between the one's that are there already and the only one that stood out with his honestly about the situation and a desire to rectify matters have been Wayne Smith.

He never made a promise he did not keep.

He's always honest in the assessments and interviews and have skills to improve the game and get us to the top again.

BUT and there is always the but.... The NZRFU cannot get rid of Henry unless he resigns (because of health reasons) because that would be an indictment on themselves.

Wayne Smith get's my vote as the best we have available at the moment.

  9. Excuse me, Graham Henry should have stood down or got the sack after loosing us the world cup!!!! Robbie Deans was turned down to coach the Blacks, i support them an all but the next world cup is going to Aussie along with the tri-nations.

    NZ stuffed up BIG TIME!

  10. what sort of wayne kerr are you why are you even thinking the NZRFU are even considering sacking or replace GH he's in the job till 2009 and beyond just because they lost 2 games doesnt mean its the coaches fualt. GH has welded the Axe and WS admitted it was his backline tactics that lost the game against Aussie ( maybe WS should be sacked).

  11. I feels that this question is premature so let worry about this in two years time If he delivers that's great , he can carry on If not we will see who will be the form coach then.

  12. Buck or Deans

  13. Ok 1) He wont be sacked because Robbie Deans is in Australia.

    2) GHs win/loss record means jack ****. Every coach for as long as I can remember has had a fantastic win/loss record but has always lost the vital games. So stop saying "he has won more games then hes lost" because it is irrelevant.

    3) There is no one who could realistically take over in NZ if you look at the current super 14 and NPC coaches (excluding Robbie Deans obviously)

    4) Whoever said that GH was the best coach at "this level", I am assuming you mean "test level" and I disagree there is a man who is better and he is coaching the green and golds...I am from auckland too before you start accusing me of being a one eyed cantab.

  14. I think Helen Clark would do a great job as the coach of the All Blacks and it appears as though she will be out of a job later this year. Maybe she could get them to wear those pink jersies more often and introduce a chinise quota thats representitive of the population.
