So in order to enhance their pay, looks like the forces have been starved of vital supplies and equipment on the front line.

Firstly, our armed forces need decent pay, equipment and supplies. They also need to be bought back here to defend our borders and our interests and our families not those of some foreign craphole.

Our "leaders" (and I use that word in it's broadest possible sense) need to put our own country in order before trying to police the world.

As for MPs - well, I think anyone who craves power should be looked upon with some suspicion. I think it would be neat if politicians received expenses only - that'd sort out who really was committed and who was out to feather their own nests. Those expenses should also have to be published for public scrutiny on a monthly basis.

Our armed forces are being used to promote the interests of big business in the Middle East. Bring them back home and if the Arabs etc complain and start to say that they will not supply oil to us let them choke on it for a couple of months. When they are neck deep in it we can start to negotiate a reasonable price for it.

I'm not against defending freedom - I'm just against poor people dying to make rich toe rags richer.
