  1. ! ooooo i like this one !

Satchel Paige (can I include him?)

    Warren Spahn

    Sandy Koufax

    Tom Seaver

    Bob Gibson

C: Mike Piazza (cuz i love him sooo much!)

1:Keith Hernandez (gotta have the "D")

2: Jackie Robinson (my personal hero)

3: Brooks Robinson or A-rod (for different reasons obviously)

SS: Cal Ripken JR (can't go wrong with the iron man)

LF: Barry Bonds (even though I hate the $#@*&#*!!!!!!)

    CF: Willie Mays

    RF: Hank Aaron

    Closer: Mariano Rivera

Manager: Bobby Cox (and this is coming from a Mets fan- I have great respect for him and how he manages)

  2. Rotation of:

    Walter Johnson

    Bob Gibson

    Sandy Koufax

    Greg Maddux

    Roger Clemens

    Relievers and closer:

    Rollie Fingers

    Goose Gossage

    Dennis Eckersley

    Bruce Sutter

    Closer Mariano Rivera

    C. Johnny Bench..was best all around catcher the game ever saw.I Rod is close 2nd

1B Lou Gehrig.Iron horse player that was one of the games all around greatest hitters

2B Ryne Sandberg..not for most gifted athlete but made up for that with heart and hard work which made him one of the greatest all around 2B ever.

SS Alex Rodriguez..no SS in the history of the game has had more talent the A Rod.  He will put up some of the greatest offense numbers that the game has ever seen before he retires.

3B Mike Schmidt..one of the premier hitters/slugger of the late 70's-early 80's on top of the fact that he was also a Gold Glove fielder.  Just imagine the numbers that he would put up in today's more HR friendly ballparks.

LF Babe Ruth..the man is baseball and a legend.

CF Willie Mays..the greatest 5 tool player ever

RF Roberto Clemente..after May's would be considered the greatest 5 tool player ever.  His career stats alone do not tell you how great Clemente was during his time in the game and the impact that he had on future Latin American ball players.

DH Ted Williams..the greatest hitter ever but he wasn't the best fielder so he would fill this role perfectly

    Bench:

Mickey Mantle would fill in for Ruth late in games for defense as well as a great pinch hitter since he was a switch hitter.

Pete Rose..could play many positions and would not lose a beat either starting or coming off of the bench.

I Rod..Bench would need days off

Ozzie Smith..the greatest defensive SS ever and would backup SS and 2B.

    Lineup:

    Willie Mays

    Ryne Sandberg

    Ted Williams

    Babe Ruth

    Lou Gehrig

    Alex Rodriguez

    Mike Schmidt

    Johnny Bench

Roberto Clemente(I would prefer another speedy runner to set the tables for the top of the order).

Manager..Tony La Russa..no manager gets more from his players(or talent on the team)then he does.

  3. I refuse to answer anyone's post who can write ten pages of a question and still not use the "caps" button once (except for initials of positions). Amazing.

    5.  Lou Gehrig, 1B (Iron Man, great hitter)

    6.  Brooks Robinson, 3B (Awesome defense, great hitter)

7,  Ted Williams, DH (best pure hitter ever)

    8.  Ernie Banks, SS (Hits for power, speed, and great defense)
