  1. sugar ray lenard by murder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... are you crazy?

  2. Ray would mop up the floor with Mayweather in 9 rounds. Ray was bigger, stronger, hit much harder, and was just as fast if not faster than Floyd. Floyd left too many unanswered questions when he "retired" rather than fight the best welterweights. Ray fought the best of his era and took on all comers.

I just don't understand it when people say that it's ok for Floyd to retire because he has "nothing left to prove", Are you f*cking kidding me? With the welterweight division being so deep and him not having fought ANY of the top guys how the h**l does he not have anything to prove? That's the difference between a Ray Leonard and a Floyd Mayweather Jr. One is a GREAT champion that fought the best and the other is an overrated duckmaster that wants us to believe that he is great while basically ducking the whole welterweight landscape at the moment.

  3. leonard.

  4. This question is an insult to leonard, a man that fought real competition unlike the other guy. In his resume he beat Roberto Duran, Thomas Hearns, and Marvin Hagler. All three of which are legends that are considered to be the greatest. What top ten fighters has mayweather fought that were in their prime? ZERO I think I will give it to Leonard who fought to near blindness instead of a guy that turned down offers from Margarito, Cotto, Quintana, Williams, Mosley, Kostya, and De La Hoya 2.

  5. I love both fighters but it would probably be a boring fight. Both of their styles are too similar(don't get hit) that neither would be the aggressor. If mayweather came out like he did when he fought Gatti then I believe probably Mayweather, only because i never saw Suga Ray fight with that much aggression before.

  6. Well said Ruddiger.

First off, if they were both fighting in their primes today Floyd would avoid Ray like a plague.  For those who think Floyd was faster than Ray you had better watch some footage of Ray's fights. Ray was as fast or probably faster than Floyd, and when it came to combo's Ray was far faster in putting them together.. Ray had much, much more power. Ray had a better reach. Ray possesed great defensive skills (as Mayweather) but just as great offensive skills as well. So far everthing tips in Rays favor.

And can you see Floyd beating Roberto Duran?

Floyd even going halfway with Thomas 'Hitman' Hearns?(Or standing toe-to-toe with Hearns like Ray did.Ray could fight great on the outside or inside equally well. I dont see Floyd doing either with the Hitman.)

Or how about Floyd beating Marvin Hagler?

Again, Everything is in Ray's corner.

I could see Floyd throwing his fast one-two punches and/or stick and move while staying in his defensive shoulder roll shell. And everytime Floyd came in or out, the faster Ray throwing multiple flurries of combo's. Racking up the points.(Ray was notorious for those lightning combination flurries.) I dont think Floyd would have a answer when beaten to the punch, and with far more volume.

Sugar Ray - Easy points victory. Probably however, a Ko or TKO by 5-7 Rd.

  7. ray leonard

  8. mayweather, it will be close though. i think it will go all the way and mayweather will win by split decision.

and cause I'm a genius i would say mayweather would give leneord an 8 count in the 7 or 8th round.

but leneord wins most rounds, cause of the 8 count mayweather gave him mayweather will win on two score cards to one by one or two points:)

  9. sugar ray leonerd

  10. I just wrote an article about this very topic a few days ago.  I am still waiting for it to be published online.  I wanted to send you the link but the article is not available yet.  You can keep checking this link for when the full article is posted:  http://unlimitedfightnews.com/wordpress/...

Here is the prediction I came up with:

Leonard is definitely the crowd favorite and Mayweather is at his peak, relishing his bad guy role.  Leonard enters the ring wearing white trunks and red tassels adorning his boots while Mayweather is dressed in black trunks and sporting a black fedora as he struts into the ring.

During the instructions, Mayweather tries to goad Leonard by talking and gesturing towards him.  Leonard meets him with an icy glare and a hint of a confident smirk across his lips.

At the opening bell, both boxers circle each other, moving laterally and looking for openings.  Mayweather fires a few jabs and looks for range with his right hand.  Leonard matches his jab output and tries to step in to land a couple of left hooks.  While the 1st round is face-paced, few clean punches are landed.

The tactical battle continues through the 2nd and 3rd rounds.  Leonard is taking the role as the aggressor, trying to back Mayweather up with his natural advantages in size and strength.  Mayweather uses the opportunity to land several flush right hands over Leonard’s left but is unsuccessful in backing him up.

The pace picks up in the 4th round.  Mayweather has found success with his straight right hand and is more willing to stand in front of Leonard.  The ensuing action has the crowd on its feet as the combinations are freely exchanged.  But the fact is that Mayweather, while successful in marking up Leonard’s left eye, doesn’t have the power to discourage The Sugar Man.

While the pace remains at a blistering pace through the middle rounds, it is becoming evident that the momentum is clearly shifting in Leonard’s favor.  Leonard, without fear of Mayweather’s power, is boxing with his hands at his side and stepping in with jabs and right hands, forcing Mayweather back to the ropes.

Leonard is sporting a lump under his left eye to start the 8th round but he still looks relaxed and confident.  His tough bouts in the past have prepared him for this.  Mayweather is dripping blood from his nose and mouth, his face showing the look of confusion and fear.  Leonard moves in, firing combinations and has Mayweather trapped in a corner as the bell rings.

Mayweather is a desperate fighter in the 9th round and he is doing anything he can to survive, moving more around the ring and holding whenever gets close.  Leonard taunts him as he moves in on him, winding his right arm and sticking his chin out.  But Mayweather is unable to do anything to stop him.  Leonard lands another crisp combination including a double left hook and a picture-perfect uppercut as Mayweather falls to his knees.  Up at the count of 7, Mayweather holds until the round ends.

Leonard races out to start the 10th round, sensing that victory is in his grasp.  And it soon is.  A left hook staggers Mayweather and a follow up flurry forces him to take a knee.  He gets up on shaky legs and indicates to the referee that he can continue.  But not for long as Leonard is back on him in a hurry, peppering him with relentless combinations against the ropes.  As Mayweather starts to slump to the canvas again, the referee jumps in to spare him further punishment.  Sugar Ray darts across the ring and jumps on the ropes, basking in the cheers of the Pro-Leonard crowd.

Your winner by Technical Knockout in the 10 th round is Sugar Ray Leonard!!!

  11. joe louis

  12. Suger. He had offense and defense, power in both hands, great footwork, speed one of the best of all time clearly .

  13. The sudden image in my mind of such a fight appeared most intriguing.

    Leonard.

  14. leonard takes a close unanimous decision in this one, as he's stronger at the weight, and just as fast as mayweather.

  15. mayweather because his hands were lightning and he had an amazing defence

  16. Sugar didn't retire in his teens, so I reckon he would win

  17. Leonard would batter Pretty Boy Floyd almost the whole fight. There would probably be a feel out process early on but once Leonard was comfortable he could handle the power of Floyd it would be over.

Unlike Floyd, Leonard would sit there and trade shot for shot with blinding speed. Mayweather fought bigger, slower power punchers that fit his style perfectly, Leonard was tougher and had more balls then Mayweather. Leonard beat great fighters and took on all comers.

He beat the **** out of Floyd Sr, although Sr wasn't as refined as Floyd he was a h**l of allot tougher. I think Leonard knocked him out mid rounds.

Floyd would be out of there before 6 rounds. Leonard would just over run him, he would outbox him from the outside, and would jump in and dominate on the inside. I dont see anyway in which Mayweather would win this fight.

If you think Mayweather could beat Sugar Ray then you must not have seen enough Sugar fights.

  18. Mayweather does not have the power that Sugar did. But Sugar had all the tools that mayweather does. This one is easy Sugar 5 round ko
